Hey ATH-M50 owners, can you help me with a few questions? :v

Quote: 1. I don't have the Bose 15's, but as long you don't bump the volume at an extremely high level, then noise isolates fine.   2. It was leaps ahead of my old Beats Pro that I gave away and after months of usage, everything sounds that much better. Make sure that you buy a portable...

    Sennheiser HD800 Appreciation Thread

I have the LCD-2 Rev 2 w/ Q Audio cable which brings about that visceral sound that I love. Everything has more impact compared to my HD800 w/ Black Dragon V2 cable. When it comes to the overall sound, the LCD-2 can't touch my HD800.

I was listening to the HD800 with the black dragon v2 cable - rap songs came alive with similar bass boost to the LCD-2, but rock songs took a step back.   Looks like the LCD-2 still has a purpose as my go to rock/rap headphone

No it's not - the LCD-2 was reviewed to work well with the Nuforce Icon HDP. Do thy research!

do i sell all my headphones for one decent pair?

The HD800 is so light and it's phenomenal with the Black Dragon V2 Audio Cable w/o the analixus mod. The LCD-2 isn't bad - I got used to my LCD-2 Rev 2 w/ Q-Audio   I recommend buying the HD800 for daily use, the LCD-2 for rap/rock, and a good closed headphone for what else?

    Sennheiser HD800 Appreciation Thread

The D7000 is a great headphone. I loved the tight bass, its overall presentation (nice mids and highs), and for a closed headphone, it handled every genre perfectly.   It's a nice buy from 570 NIB or Used to 720 new. I've sold it to fund my Burson Amp and replaced the D7000 with a cheaper...

    Sennheiser HD800 Appreciation Thread

Based upon user reviews, I felt that it was the best to buy the Black Dragon V2 Cable. The HD800 did sound great with the HD800 "Anaxilus" Mod, but the sound is not congested anymore, making listening sessions more enjoyable without experiencing that "harsh treble".   Edit 2:   The...

The HD800 does lack bass compared to my LCD-2 Rev 2. It's a great headphone none-the-less, and I wonder how the sound will change when the BlackDragon V2 cable is applied.   C'mon, UPS! Hurry!

I know - hence I've modified my statement to state around the 1700 dollar range.   How is the sound compared to the ATH-W3000ANV or D7000? My apologies for possibly asking a question which might have been previously asked.

Audio-Technica ATH-AD2000 Discussion (and Appreciation) Thread!

I share similar feelings towards the W1000X that I had for the AD2000. The old AD2000 was used as my to go JPop/Rock and anime listening headphone. I feel the same way about the W1000X.   Technically, the HD800 is superior to everything that I have owned in terms of clarity. It's a boring...

Audio-Technica ATH-AD2000 Discussion (and Appreciation) Thread!

In terms of bass presentation, my LCD-2 > HD800. In terms of everything else, the HD800 trumps all that I have owned so far.   Both headphones aren't as fun as my W1000X

Quote:   Quote: As Windsor described how the LCD-2 feels in terms of its bass presentation, I like how the "LCD-2 delivers sound with much more sonic pressure". It's a matter of preference and I too was impressed how the LCD-2 presented the bass; it was if my old T1 and the D7000...

    Sennheiser HD800 Appreciation Thread

Really? Bass sounds lacking in certain songs vs my LCD-2 Rev 2. If you think the HD800 can handle the "full sound spectrum and all genres", then good for you. To me, I don't think of the HD800 as the "do it all" headphone.
