Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones
Quote: Exact same thing here! Atm I use a cheap Class-D amplifier from eBay to drive my Epos Epic 5 speakers, the sound is still good but not nearly as good as my HD650s, if you forget about soundstage of course :P Piano solos in example sound harsh, unrealistic on the speakers but...- louis12345

I have the Little Dot MK III and the HD 650 too (fed by Little Dot DAC_1). It's IMO one of the best setups in this price range, the tubes add a little warmth to harsh digital files but the sound seems a bit dark, laid back (typical for the HD650).- louis12345

Review: Modded iPod Classic 7G with 240GB HDD from eBay
Quote: I use the iLuv remote (an interconnect with an apple remote, like original earbuds) that could solve your problem. It's ideal to control your iPhone or iPod withouttaning it out of your pocket.- louis12345

Review: Modded iPod Classic 7G with 240GB HDD from eBay
Quote: I wouldn't say brand new, the motherboard could be second hand. But the exterior should be indeed brand new, the HDD too.- louis12345

Review: Modded iPod Classic 7G with 240GB HDD from eBay
Quote: They say this because they're modded and sold w/o original box. This is what I think: the exterior is 100% new (new parts) but the main board is refurb. Also when they make the mods sometimes they make little scratches on the exterior, in my case it looked 100% new. Even the...- louis12345

First real setup: Nuforce Icon HDP + HD650's? (best under $1000)?
I had a similar budget and went for the HD650 / Little Dot MKIII / Little Dot DAC_1 combo. Eargasmic!- louis12345

Review: Modded iPod Classic 7G with 240GB HDD from eBay
I tried to fill it @ 99% => works perectly! All the information about the songs haves to be saved in the RAM memory of the iPod, I think the 5.5g iPod haves less RAM than the 7G. Maybe if I manage to fill the iPod with 128kbps songs it will have difficulties, but I'm syncing everything @...- louis12345

iPod Classic 7G 240GB
The 7th generation isn't compatible with Rockbox. You could ask the seller to make an older generation with a 240GB drive. 5.5G and lower can be rockboxed.- louis12345

Review: Modded iPod Classic 7G with 240GB HDD from eBay
The sound isn't bad, it just sounds like any other portable Apple product I had (my first Apple product was an iPhone 3Gs). It's not world class sound, but very good for portable use ;)- louis12345

Review: Modded iPod Classic 7G with 240GB HDD from eBay
Modded iPod Classic 7G 240GB The 160GB iPod Classic was not enough for my needs, so I started searching for alternatives. I found no good alternative with enough space that is easy to use and plays lossless files digitally for when I'm at home (Pure i20 dock i.e.), that's why modding...- louis12345

iPod Classic 7G 240GB
Ordered from 'kaijessy'. He said 'original Apple earphones included' If I'm an *ss and he ships fake earphones I could annoy him with Paypal ;) But I obviously don't give a crap about the earphones :P Edit: I'm going this afternoon to the post office, can't wait !- louis12345

Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones
LoL my friends always wonder why I have my Little Dot / HD650 rig because they think my Ultrasone HFI-680 sounds way better. Got the HFI-680 to sound fun on the road, and the HD650 to sound perfect at home :3 Some actually think the HD650 rig sounds better, but isn't really worth it... ...- louis12345
