My friend is gonna sell me his hardly used Schiit Valhalla amp and I'm pretty excited about it. I wanna do a pretty simple setup that uses a CD player, my local Fry's has the Onkyo C-S5VL on sale,  along with my Sennheiser HD 650's. I'm still kind of a noob so would this be a pretty good setup...

I hear the 580's are great for electronic music but usually when people say that they talk about trance, techno, dubstep and the such. Just wondering how they handle Brian Eno's ambient stuff and the like.

Just looking at some cables and wondering what the best way would be to connect an iPod to a headphone amp like the Schiit Asgard for better sound quality. Would it be the top plug (1/8"?) or the bottom 30 pin dock connector, or does it even matter?

I thought I read the HD 650 isnt the best for voices, can someone confirm this? 

Are there any huge differences? I'm kinda thinking of getting the goldies because IMO they look a lot better than the silvers. A few people have told me they're pretty much the same but just want to make sure.
