well i have the coiled version, i prefer this over the straight version. I really never measured how long the cable is, but its good enough to keep my player in my pocket and go on a jog.

I actually just picked up the skull candy mix master mikes for $150 from their website. I would say they sound just as good as my audio technica m50. Just as much bass as my pro700mk2 but the highs of the m50. I am really impressed by them, I do think they are worth it at $150 but not at $300.

i won both. The m50 are a little more comfortable. But for people to say the pro700 are super tight, they must have bigger heads than me, and i wear a 7 5/8's fitted cap! But anywho, i use the pro700 as my dj cans right now, they work great and they are built like tanks! Sound quality is there...

Many people have said, they are not that bad, but they for damn sure arent worth $300 bucks. So thats probably why you think they're ok, since you didnt drop the coin on them. But anywho, if you enjoy them, then keep them and enjoy them. :)

I believe if, we were to take off the headband padding and heat up that part of the headphones it would relax the plastic. I would try it, but dont feel like tearing off the padding on them. I have no problems with them being too tight. Yeah they are tight, but not uncomfortable tight.
