Recommendations for a pair of closed headphones for my Burson HA-160D.
It might be easier to get information if you would post a budget and the music you listen to. Also I would recommend asking in the recommendation thread: http://www.head-fi.org/t/529144/full-size-headphone-recommendations-thread-i-e-dont-start-a-new-thread-ask-for-advice-here-please-read-op- hatecrew1992

well as far as the sound sig, It is hard to say, but I would like to have bass that would be adequate for EDM stuff, without bleeding into the other frequencies. Also the trebel should be energetic and engaging to work well with Metalcore stuff. Both not to much, just enough to be audible, so...- hatecrew1992

hi guys, I was thinking of getting myself some nice new IEM's for my budget of about 400$. I listen mainly to Metalcore and related genres as well as EDM( not the chill typ) and from time to time some classic. I will be using my Sansa Clip-->CmoyBB for now but I a thinking of getting myself an...- hatecrew1992

Amp and DAC for He-400
so I have somewhat narrowed it down to the Musical Fidelity V-DAC II, The iFi iDAC ant the Yulong D100 II. Those are easiely available for me. I know the only definite way to make a decision would be to audit them together, but that is not possible so I hope someone can help me make an decision...- hatecrew1992

Amp and DAC for He-400
well that is hard to answer. I personallly have not found a store in austria where I can audition Head-Amps or reasonably priced DAC's, there only seems to be the cheap mainstream stuff and the uber expenisive high end stuff. But in general i can buy anything that is distributed inside the EU...- hatecrew1992

does the same go for the DAC? The plan was to either upgrade the DAC or Amp, then buy my next HP (probaly LCD-2) and then buy the second upgrade after that- hatecrew1992

Amp and DAC for He-400
thanks for the reply, the burson seems like a neat little amp, but since teh price difference isn`t all that much I also came to consider the Vioelectric HPA V100 if that would change anything. The DAC is a bit thougher. I find the Bitfrost to be very appealing, but chances are that I have...- hatecrew1992

hi guys, I just recently got my HE-400 and i find the standart cable to be annoyingly long, can anyone tell me where I can get a short replacement ( like 1,5m or somthing like that) that doesn´t cost as much as those that I found? Paying north of 100$ for a cable is just to much for me- hatecrew1992

for me they are slightly less comfortble than the senns, but that mostly comes from the pleather pads. They are heavyer so they might fell less comfortable, but i think the headband is broad enough to distribute they weight nicely- hatecrew1992

you can mod the pads, so that the trebel gets smoothed out and pushed back a little. Not enough to makr it completly different, but enough to make them sound smoother. Probably not enough to make you like the trebel if it really bothered you in the first place though Mod...- hatecrew1992

I had the senn Hd 595, so I don´t know how different these to are, but if there are only somewhat close, I can tell you that the HE-400 is an fantastic upgrade. The only other headphone from the list that i listened to are the Q702, and although they are nice for some genres, I would considere...- hatecrew1992
