I think its telling the K10 is still the all time best rated IEM on HeadFi despite being discontinued.

Any way to still get new universal K10s? Would have bought off MassDrop last year if I knew it would be ages till another drop (if ever).

Have been trying to find a set of J$ earpads if anyone is selling. Are there any earpads similar in form factor and/or sound for HE-500s?

Used to have a pair of HE-500s way back when and my favorite pads were the J$ ones. Barring a stroke of luck I don't think I'll find another set of J$ pads since they've been out of business for a good decade now. Anyone have any experience with J$ pads and can recommend a similar alternative?

Matt has been quick/responsive through email and quoted a 2-3 week time to set up the new workshop, before beginning to process outstanding orders in the order received. In my case he estimated 2-3 weeks for workshop setup + (estimated) 2 weeks for my particular order. I will provide an update...

Unfortunately, speaking with my bank at least (Wells Fargo), they are unwilling to reverse any payment or take any action since the payment was approved by me. The fact that delivery of the purchased product was not expected for 6-18 months and was never received makes no difference to them...

I’m wondering why Frank hired somebody with a dubious HeadFi history. By all accounts Frank was highly respected & trusted, seems odd to undermine that with somebody who maybe wasn’t 100% trustworthy? Wish this concern had been flagged by somebody while Toxic was still run by Frank.

If you paid via credit card you should be able to get a refund through your credit card company. It’s the people that paid debit like me that are more screwed.

PayPal would not refund me last Oct as they said they only allow orders to be refunded up to 6 months and my order was 1 year old. And I have not gotten any responses through the Facebook page in the last 6-8 months... trying to figure out how to get a refund or if my toxic coper venom order...

No, believe you me, I know there are definitely enough people out there rich enough to buy these without batting an eye, I'm not that naive.   Having said that, it's a question of how many people would actually be interested enough to buy these.   Most people out there aren't audiophiles...

What is the percentage of people that are actually audiophiles?   The vast majority of those people really wouldn't care about these.  And of the ones that did, I'm sure a fair percentage would still seek a cheaper alternative lest they be worth more than a couple million dollars where $55,000...

Has anybody here on HeadFi actually bought these at full price?   I'm sure these sound great, but at this price I can get a Porche Cayman.. I think I'd get a lot more fun out of that.

My ear canals are very narrow so when the impressions were completed they were also very narrow. Too narrow to use wood for apparently as I was told a prestige pair wasn't possible using my impressions but that a normal set with a wizard design and wooden faceplates would still be possible...
