I stuck one each in the circular vent behind the grille for that reason. I think it works considering that the maker boasts it has "[t]weak-friendly, modular components."

Asked the maker awhile ago on his blog about usb cord length. He replied that even a 10' cable sounds good. On the other hand, I don't use a cable, but an adapter to a powered port. Would personally go with an audio extension cable to avoid distortion.

I'd order a M USB to M Mini-USB adapter for a couple of dollars. Made the E10 much better and if you attach it to a powered USB slot, even nicer. The E7 is a step down per Headfonia's Mike.
