Thanks for the recommendations. I do mainly landscape work so a wideish 17-50 could be the go. How is the Tamron better quality than the the Sigma or the Canon? There's just to much to choose from.- warnsey

What is the general consensous on Tamron lenses? I like the look of the 28-300mm XR DI VC as an everyday travel lenses. Are canon lenses that much better?- warnsey

Question about Max
Hi guys. Well after hearing positive things about MAX audio ripper I wanted to give it a go. However, when I check the output to Apple lossless and then go to import the files into my itunes library to use with my IPOD I get an error saying Itunes doesn't support .CAF files. Anyone else have...- warnsey

HGA Silver IC's?
I have used HGA interconnects. I loved them. Sold them and now... I miss them . I think they are great. A lot depends on your system and whether you get good synergy. -

Encoding and Decoding i'm confused.
Thanks for the reply guys. Overlord.. Will EAC work with a MAC? Also does that mean that I would get EAC to do the ripping and then just import the files into Itunes to synch with the IPOD.- warnsey

Any one tried Goretz speaker cable?
G'day guys, I'm in the market for some new speaker cable and came across the Alpha-Core Goretz speaker cable. The MI-1 and MI-3 look interesting and a little different from most speaker cables. At the moment it's either these or the anti-cables. Anyone had any experience with them? Cheers- warnsey

"Alternative" speaker technologies
I don't suppose you have condisered horns, such as Avantgarde uno? They are quite an amazing live sounding speaker and you can use nice little tube amps. p.s. I have heard the J.M LAB Focal 1027 BE. They are a very sexy, kind of silky sounding speaker, perhaps leaning towards... -
are you a silver guy or a copper guy? and why?
Solid core silver and copper for me. In my new speaker cables I am running 4 strands of 18g FIM CCC copper and 10 strands of 24g silver and evenly divide them between + and - . I think the results are pretty good.
