I'm very interested in doing this mod but having trouble finding a good NA supplier with online ordering. Any recommendations? My guess is that any local electric/electronic supply store probably wouldn't carry the higher end audio quality grade caps. Not true?

Add in another convert to the improvement an external power source makes to the SR001. I usually hear less of a difference with 'tweaks' that others claim to be dramatic or astounding. The difference with the external adapter and transformer is dramatic and astounding.

Have ordered these from Japan and am awaiting delivery. In the meantime, I'm wondering about using these at work. Apparently you can power them using a 4.5V 300 MA AC adapter. Question: Could I use a Ratshack one with that output or would it have to be the one from Stax? thanks
