Sennheiser IE80 Headphone issues.
I don't know if you resolved the problem, but I just experienced the exact same issue with an older pair of ie8's that I love, but hadn't listened to for a bit. The right channel seemed very quiet and muffled sounding, and I was sure it was somehow due to a wax buildup on the screen causing it...- MansomeHan

What SENNHEISER IE8 good portable headphone amps?

Since you just ordered them and they are on their way, I think you should give them a good listen after letting them burn in for a few days. I listen to a fair amount of metal myself, and I don't think you will be disappointed at all. Rock on!- MansomeHan

I just got these phones delivered a couple of days ago and have enjoyed burning them in and listening in intervals all weekend. They seem to benefit quite a bit from burn in, as most headphones do.
