hardbop,   same thing happened to my stock cable...right channel would cut in and out when I moved the cable in a particular way. I was gonna see if audeze would help fix it for me....then I decided to just get an aftermarket cable and be done with it. Less about trying to improve the sound...

My terrazzo plug is very light. With that plus the French silk (with no microphonics and great flexibility), I have no complaints. The fact that the cable doesn't twist at the Y split unless I want it to is also huge for me.

No problem with brightness with my cables right out the envelope. Music is just flowing with them and they have done the best thing I feel they could ever do: "Disappear" and let me focus on the music :)  

Got it, no touching of the physical buttons on the GO should help to keep me from any sudden blast of music at full volume. Alrighty appreciate :)

OK so what are ALL the ways folks have been dealing with this volume issue? Someone mentioned setting their control panel volume half way and not touching the buttons on the GO....has this worked for others (seems like it hasn't for at least one person). Would I always have to pretty much start...

Oh geeeez I don't know how I figured the volume issues were Mac related....wishful thinking probably since I'm a PC guy right now. Sort of hard to invest in a product that has a pretty big glaring issue, sound quality aside..   If/when I decide to purchase it I might just try the 720 version...

Hey brhfl! Thanks so much for stopping by and adding some impressions to this thread! Boy, it sounds like those Audience "The One" speakers are pretty special! They sounded pretty great when I demoed the S16, sitting about 6 feet away from them, but I wish I got to hear them in a desktop...

Just want to update my review and mention that I received the newer black top for my S16 a couple of weeks  ago (the one with the white outline around the RWA emblem that ships with the S16 standard now) and it is much better. Not as stiff as the first one  I had and snaps into place more...

Synthax you should read my review of the Sig 16...I'm a pretty big fan! It's a hell of an amp, very versatile :)
