I need to learn not to solder when Im tired
Heh, when I was assembling my Corda HA-1 kit I figured it would only take an hour or so. It was also the first time I had actually done any real soldering other than practicing desoldering and soldering back together broken stuff. I had to work at 4:00am the next morning, and I didn't get...- Rotareneg

It seems that ER4B is not only designed for bi-CDs!
They just use a couple capacitors in the cable pod to make a mild highpass filter to get the different frequency response, you can use an EQ to get the same effect with ER-4S/P's or vice versa.- Rotareneg

Koss KSC75
Ordered a pair today from Amazon and thankfully the estimated 3 day delay before shipping turned out to be just a few hours. I needed something somewhat more practical than my HD600s to replace the horrific little earbuds my new iFP-895 came with (I think they're MX 400 RC's) and from the...- Rotareneg

Question about Paypal
Quote: Never ever ever ever never ever leave a large balance in your PayPal account. I'd change that slightly to "never leave any balance." It's fine as a money transfer service, but people who use it as a bank are crazy.- Rotareneg

Question about Paypal
I've used paypal a bit, never had any problem at all. Just yesterday I bought a 4x128 kB memory card for my HP48GX from a German vendor via paypal, it did an instant withdrawal from my bank account including currency conversion (dollar -> euro = ouch! )- Rotareneg

That's cool, glad it wasn't intentional... but I still would have loved to have heard what the driver was saying right afterwards.- Rotareneg

Nice Viper, Nice crash, Nice thread
Looks like the person in the 'vette was actively trying to run the viper off the road. Notice that at the beginning of the video the cars in front are not very far away. When the viper trys to pass after staying behind the 'vette as it was braking, the other cars are way off down the track: the...- Rotareneg

What level is 85db?
Listening to Wherever I May Roam from the Metallica S&M CD on my Altec Lansing ACS56 speakers the C weighted average is a whopping 71 dB, with peaks around 75 dB. With a couple fans on in the room (it's 86 degrees in here, gonna be getting a new AC soon) the background noise is about 58 dB.- Rotareneg

Do white headphone/iPod muggings still go on?
Don't forget one advantage to using Ety's and iPods: the noise reduction is helpful in preventing hearing loss when you plug the muggers.- Rotareneg

Sin City
After seeing Sin City, I can now forgive Mickey Rourke for being in Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man, which is the second worst movie I've ever seen, just behind Arlington Road.- Rotareneg

I don't think they're worth the price difference, the supposed carbon-nanotube construction is just regular plastic with a fancy paint job.- Rotareneg

Do you have the best sound in the world?
I am one with the Sound. The Sound is true, the Sound flows through everything, the Sound is the world. Only through the HD-600's can the Sound be discovered, only by the Corda HA-1 can the Sound be propelled, and only from the Denon DCM-370 may the Sound be born.- Rotareneg

So you have golden ears? are you sure? good distortion hearing test inside.
Oddly enough, I did signficantly better with my Altec Lansing ACS-56 speakers than with my Total Airhead and SR-80's or HD-600's, source was a SBLive.- Rotareneg

Most effective car theft devices?
If you don't mind damaging the vehicle I'm sure a crowbar would do a good job of either popping the door open or smashing a window in. Not sure what tools you use to hotwire a car though. The thead did say "Most effective car theft devices," right?- Rotareneg
