Sydney area (NSW South Coast) meet IC
Whoa. Head-fi meet in the South Coast??? How can I say no...... put me down for the 26th. I was involved in a couple of Sydney head-fi meets last year but nowhere near as glamorous location as this!- chungsoi

After waiting weeks for the damn BSE to arrive, it looks like the post lost it again! I've contacted BSE for a refund, and that will go towards buying the IS this time.- chungsoi

Review: RnB Audio Diamond Class Reference Right Angle Mini to Mini Interconnect
This neutrality and transparency is what lead me to RnB's diamond mini. My portable setup is bassy enough as it is with the hornet and hf-1's, so don't need to hear more bass from the cable. -

Build me a home listening rig from scratch
Second the RS-1 suggestion. As far as sources go, if you want a dedicated cd player, I'd go for the Eastsound. Then with whatever money you have left, spend it on a nice tube amp for your rs-1's such as a MAD EAR+ HD, and you'll have one killer setup!- chungsoi

Ray Samuels "The Hornet" Version 2?
Now that's customer service for ya! I'll probably leave my hornet the way it is now, as I enjoy the hornet for it's upfront "aggressive" sound. But it's good to know that there is the option avail. if I ever want to change the sound, free of charge. Currently, I couldn't be happier with the...- chungsoi

Hornet and Grado cans ... opinions ?
Hi boodi, I have RS-1 and HF-1 paired to the hornet, and they both synergise extremely well. I personally don't find the combo overly agressive and in fact works particularly well for portable situations when you need the sound to cut through the mix. The melos gets the home duties though...- chungsoi

HF-1's age like wine
For me the HF-1 sound best with stock bowls, washed with warm soapy water for extra comfort. Compared to the rs-1, they do lack soundstage, bass is rolled off and muddy, but I'm hoping this will change as the HF-1's register more hours. I asked my gf to compare the HF-1 and RS-1 and her comment...- chungsoi

Tube headphone amp and PC noise pick up
It may just be a bad tube. Try another set of of tubes and if that doesn't work, you might wanna try Herbie's tube dampers to help reduce microphonics. I have them on my tubes and it really does work.- chungsoi
