Looking for something fun, for all types of music + movies.   Are the eph100 the best I can get for < $150? Is there anything a little cheaper that is just as good?   For reference I have xscape impressive edition and very old nuforce ne6 and I love the ne6s and hate the sound of the IEs.

I have more expensive ones but I need something cheaper as I'm afraid to damage them under daily use. Only models I've ever bought under $100 were the xcape IE (broke and never did like the sound) and nuforce n700. I want something with good soundstage and and a fun factor.

<$120 I use to get recommend Yamaha EPH-100 and JVC FXT90. These still the best bang for the buck? I want something very fun for movies and some music.

This may seem like an odd request, but I have a friend who has very little hearing (can hear concerts/engines etc...) is there anything he can buy < $100 headphone wise to let him hear music. Kinda want to avoid the whole everyone around him hearing his music too (so closed).    I'm not sure...

What is it and how does it differ from an amp? Also how do I know if I need one?

in iTunes there is regular bitrate and variable. Should I be ripping at a standard 320kps or a variable (if so, what settings?)

As the title suggests, which would be better for movies?   Do both produce the "3D" sound? 

I was curious to know if its a serious problem or not? I've never had expensive headphones (IEMs before) until now and I'm kinda concerned that dust or hairs will get in them. Should I worry about this or no?

Are there any that even require to be amped?

I was using my sunrise IE while running today and I noticed a lot of popping. To me it sounded like static popping. I was wearing a fleece snow cap over my ears. Could that really cause it? Or is something else happening here? It isn't constant. 

Which cable is better to use for an amp to iPod? 3.5 to 3.5 or 3.5 to LOD?    

I know it use to be the GR07, but those have since gone up to $200+.   I currently used Sunrise IE as my main IEMs, but I just don't find them all that fun. Whats the biggest steal under $200? Is it the new(ish) jvc fxt90?

I want to buy better tips for my Sunrise IE IEMs, but how do I know which ones will fit and what are the best to get?

Listen to rap/hip hop, but also rock (punk)   Which would be better for me?   Have iPod Touch (3rd gen) and FiiO E6 amp.

Does anyone know if internally there is anything different from the:   2nd gen > 3rd gen > 4th gen   That would effect sq or amping? 

I think my NuForce NE6 are finally going bad.    I need something fun and at least as bassy as the NE6. IMO the NE6 had pretty good bass, I could feel vibrations sometimes.   Around $50ish. I have other more expensive IEMs for my other needs. 

I currently own vsonics, sunrise IE, and nuforce ne6.   Curious if I spent the same money on headphones, would I get a better sound for movies than using any of those?

I currently have a pair of NE6's and Sunrise IEs, and an iPod Touch 3rd gen.   Would I benifit from an amp($100 or less), or can an iPod touch drive them just fine?

Just started using IEMs and sometimes if I switch a song, and in that split second between the old song and new one, I can feel my ear do something. Its hard to explain. Maybe my ear drum spazing? Has any one else experienced this?

Whats the proper way to do it, to limit chance of damage to them?
