Matrix Audio Element Series Thread
Have been using the MA Element X for the last year and am still loving it. Superb features/functionality paired with great performance. Roon support is a must for me these days, so the unit fits seamlessly into my setup. My only quibble I have is that MA do not produce the unit in black. I've...- LedJam

Where can I listen to some cans? (UK)
I found it impossible to listen to a pair of cans over £60 in London. However there are stores outside of London that can accommodate, two stores that come to mind are: Hifi Headphones (Brighton) Audio Affair (Birmingham) The above two stores also have online stores so just give...- LedJam

What is the UK/EU price of HD800?
In the UK one set of the HD800 will set you back around £999.00 (GBP). That is an online price I pulled from a reputable store.- LedJam

Reliable UK headphone retailers
'Hifi Headphones' have an online store and a contact number to get sales advice before you buy a product. They were very helpful to me when I bought my Grado SR325is and delivery was quick also.- LedJam

Windows Phone 7
I've played around with a WP7. I liked it lot and will change from my iPhone eventually....only problem is that you can't sync your contacts from Outlook....very stupid. But hopefully with release of Mango (the software update for WP7 coming later this year) that issue will be resolved. That...- LedJam

Do you prefer headphones or speakers?
It has got to be headphones for me. I live in a flat and so prefer to keep the noise down and I prefer the sound given from a set of good cans....it just feels more personal.- LedJam

Quote: Rofl.....great stuff!!! But I still do not want to make a Frankenstein of my 325's....not just yet anyway. I would rather sell them and buy a better pair of cans. And yes it is more than looks....it is primarily the Grado sound which I love. Still though the HD800's are a...- LedJam

Thanks for the insight. And yes it is an expensive decision, which is why I am here and am now flipping (in terms of headphones as that is my first step) between the RS1i, PS1000 and HD800. And again you are right in that I will need to listen to be sure. But the closest I have coming to...- LedJam

Headphones & Amp Advice needed
Thanks for the info. I am at the moment borrowing a set of Sennheiser HD650's; I do like them a lot and think they are a great pair of cans but I find I end up going back to my Grado 325's. I am more likely to go for PS1000's because of the way they have been described on these forums, wider...- LedJam
