My head-fi soundstation :$

Is only for control the volume with Asgard :)    The a5 are more like the HD598 or M50? I want the HD598 sound in my speakers!    Are you happy with the changed sound of the HD598 with the Asgard? Are more warm?

I have the same headphones! And i was thinking getting Asgard and the A5! How the A5 works with Asgard? I want a warm hifi speakers, the a5 will make my happy? Do you have the A5 connected to the Asgard outs?   Quote:

Why not get the HD598? for me this headphones sounds really nice with jazz. Diana Krall sounds amazing (piano and voice really shines in this headphones)

I don't know, but i play my 24/96 FLAC music only with resampler to 44100 enabled. I'm interested in this thread, probably i'm not using the "best" solution.

I don't think you are can hear a difference between stock cable and stock cable with extender. Try it, is more easy than mod the cable.

This cans needs an amp, seriously. I'm listening now my favourite songs with the Fiio combo (e7/e9) and the difference is big. The bass response is more punchy, better, and the mid gains presence.    I think not only the impedance is important for determine if you need an amp or not.
