No one else remembers the Phantom Acoustics Shadow?  It implemented the same idea with far more primitive technology, and Nelson Pass played a role in its development.   I'm starting to feel old!

I've wondered about this but never found a supported way.  You could try opening the playlists with something like Notepad & doing a search/replace, but I can't promise anything.   One workaround would be to run "subst e: c:\" at a command prompt.

Worry about choosing speakers that will work in your room.  Acoustics are hugely important.

Watch Ebay & Craig's list for PSB Alphas.  You'll need an amp or receiver, but that's not as critical as the speakers in this price range IMO.

The Sonos system flat out works.  It establishes its own wireless mesh & can link into your existing wired LAN.  Sonos' UI & convenience are top notch.  OTOH, you can buy better sound quality for the same money.  All depends what you prefer.
