Reply to review by 'puffery' on item 'Sennheiser HD 598'
I agree with Maxvla. I thoroughly respect the 598 for what they are even though I have some high end gear. They are not dull but rather do a good job at exposing poor files and recordings unlike the CAL! you mention which will mask these things.- Puffery

Fischer DBA-02 MKII - Impressions and review thread: CK10 threatened!
I am impressed with this IEM to be honest. I ordered it form gd-audiobase for about $160 and it arrived about a month after placing the order. I am in Canada so you can probably expect similar wait times. I found that the triple flange tips provided the best sound for me. With this tip the...- Puffery

Getting "called-out" for not wearing the Beats
The other day a friend posted on facebook that his studios got stolen and was looking for some new headphones. Being the good guy head-fier that I am, I responded with the 96 portable shootout thread on here, and recommended either the m80, HD25, DT1350. He gave the post a thumbs up. I was...- Puffery

Show us your Head-Fi station at it's current state. No old pictures please...
The HD650 is darker/warmer and has a much fuller sound then the HD598. The HD598 was slightly more airy although the detail of the HD650 more then makes up for it. However HD598 is no slouch as I preferred it to the D2000, not sure why, perhaps the mids and soundstage captivated me a little more...- Puffery

**Help needed picking a Sennheiser**
I owned the 598 and D2000 and I ended up reaching for the 598 more often. I preferred the mids and soundstage of the 598.- Puffery
