Well if you want something that rumbles your head like that, I'd with the XB500's. You should be able to find them for what you bought the 700's for a while back. I wouldn't listen to anyone that comes in here boasting that the Panasonic HATF600's have the same type of bass but better. It's not...

Sony, normal-sized headphones with decent bass in your price range would probably be the mdr v55

That's probably true but they're also $200 more expensive lol. I could afford them but I can't justify spending that much just yet.

I think I'll end up ordering the 990's this Friday. If I don't like them I'll try the Sonys. If I don't like THOSE I'll try the ultrasone 900's. If all else fails I'll try the AD900s

Pretty much what they said ^  It's all a matter of preference. If some people like more bass than the average person, you can't fault them for it, that's just what they like. What you perceive as "good" sound quality wont be the same for everybody else. It's not right to think your taste is...

I wouldn't know from personal experience but from what I've read over time, the xb100s have really nice sub-bass but not as much mid-bass. Therefore the Ultrasones sound punchier but wont go as low when a song or sound goes into sub-bass levels. Again, this is only from what I've read so it...

I still can't see why people say these are basshead cans. I've been listening to them for a few days now and the bass is really underwhelming, especially when I went in with high expectations because of what people said about them.

Something tells me the Sennheisers wouldn't meet my needs.
