IMR Audio : Sonic Adventures & Impressions
Given them both same hours of burn in now. . . Hard to say subjectively but if you put all IMR's into tiers...with Enigma+ being 'S' tier for example i think the Dawn and NaLe would be in the same tier - something like C+ ? The Dawn is warmer and a more balanced iem that the NaLe but they are...- jon parker

(Black low-reupper / foam tip / 4.4mm / 400+ hours burn) Maybe better to express as Im finding a lot of space around each instrument and often a Huge space around the vocal. Combined with the speed and clarity of the CNT driver each instruments unique timbres and detail are exceptionally clear...- jon parker

IMR Audio : Sonic Adventures & Impressions
Been listening to NaLe mostly last few weeks and have found it has a very clear and unobstructed 'CNT' characteristic sound : fast transients, clean, accurate, precise layering & imaging. Maybe the widest of instrument placements of any of the IMR's ? There is certainly a massive amount of space...- jon parker

The NaLe . . been burning in and listening for a while now and have found some quite special and unique sometimes hidden amazing qualities. ( Black/red - foam) 1st impressions where - very clean, very clear, bass more towards mids, nice low rumble on sub-bass, very fast transients...but then...- jon parker

IMR Audio : Sonic Adventures & Impressions
I was saying s few posts back that I found the treble to be fine with the Avalon but with a subsequent session I realised the music I was listening to at that time had particularly clear / loud cymbals in the tracks which were clear as a bell. With other albums I found the cymbals to be more in...- jon parker

Dont get me wrong, i do take your point, although cymbals in some regards can sound tonaly really sweet they certainly dont take any prominence with music but in some ways thats what i love about them ! I think there is some trade off between natural tonality and the crash of brass with Avalon...- jon parker

IMR Audio : Sonic Adventures & Impressions
Have to disagree here. Cymbals on Avalon are beautifully NATURAL with a uniquely accurate presentation of brass at its best most 'brassy-ness' Profound TONALITY (Listening to John Martyn - Solid Air Deluxe Edt. Instrumentals) What the Avalons don't do..to be fair... is elevate that area where...- jon parker

True dat, I guess thats why he was trying to move away from the Pre-orders...although maybe not financially feasible with an IEM such as the Enigma !? Shame really, as Bart Simpson said 'doomed of you do and doomed if you don't' OF COURSE not making excuses but just saying it must be tricky...- jon parker

Will be interesting to see where IMR goes from here. I doubt pre-orders will work anymore, besides Bob said he did not want to do pre-orders anymore. That being the case maybe he can only make a very small run of a (relatively) inexpensive IEM and start working up from there? Was it last...- jon parker

When a company wants to charge the same price as a car for their IEM someones ego needs a firm slap. I hope they get all the feedback they deserve for this, especially for the stupid little camp man-bag thats included...as if thats makes the price any more reasonable o_0 !? Bob originally said...- jon parker

Very nice. Ive struggled with a few IMR's to get perfection although all of them have come close enough for sure. Have to say though that with my set up I could not be happier with Avalon. Everything is just perfect. Dont feel any need to look further in terms of tonality, timbre, imaging...- jon parker
