Yes. These are the notoriously hard-to-drive prototype HiFiMAN HE-6 planar headphones.   Yes. I do need a new amp dedicated solely to them.   And yes. I am on a budget. Although I can stretch to around $500, "the cheaper the better" as long as the headphones are adequately driven.  ...
