Samsung galaxy nexus
I like the clarity of the headphone out using my koss ur-55 headphones, but it doesn't get very loud. I am still looking for the best player. At the moment I use win amp because of the 10 band eq. I can adjust the very bottom end more than standard 5 band eq that are on other players. The around...- brandonnash

Android phones and USB DACs
Any love (USB audio) for the galaxy nexus? I have seen the s3 getting all the praise but a lot of the s3 providers seem reluctant to put out 4.1. AFAIK only Verizon hasn't stepped up for the nexus/4.1 combo. With millions of users I am surprised this hasn't been talked about more.- brandonnash

The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..
My main in home system can run at levels close to 130 db in a 4000+ cubic feet room. I don't need that loud but somewhere over 100 db can be fine. I am not sure about the output power of the gnex. I play most music with some loss ur-55 and with the gnex it gets probably within 5 or so db of...- brandonnash

The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..
Can anyone comment on the sensitivity of these? For the moment 99% of my listening is thru my Samsung galaxy nexus and the power is somewhat underwhelming with that as the source. Not horrible but doesn't pump out that last 20 or so % of the volume I like to have when listening loud.- brandonnash

AKG K99 or other comparable headphones for young child?
You're going to potentially pump a full watt (1000 mW) to a 3 year old? Is this a child you don't want hearing any longer?- brandonnash

best smart phone for music (no apple)
Straight out of the box the galaxy nexus sounds pretty good. I just got one and have been impressed so far. If you don't want to root your phone that may be the way to go. The wife has a galaxy s1 unrooted and while the quality is OK the output level left something to be desired from me.- brandonnash

SOL republic headphones ?
I have heard some too and they're nice enough. Not a huge amount of clarity but decent bass response. My only big problem with them were they are very tight on my head.- brandonnash

Does Sound Card need Burn-in?
First we're not talking about headphones, and additionally it may cost some extra money per unit. A $200 DAC that may cost an extra dollar in electricity. Certainly the higher end products wouldn't mind charging a few dollars more for their products. Shouldn't they be running electricity through... -
Does Sound Card need Burn-in?
I'll throw another stitch into this mess. It was brought up to me on another forum that if burn in is so important for 40 or 50 hours why don't the manufacturer do it before selling to the consumer? Why would a company sell a product they knew was not at its full potential when it would take... -
Choice of cell phone or sansa clip+
I've pretty much decided on the nexus after staying up late last night doing my research on it. The new 4.1 seems really cool. Some kinks to be worked out but its still a phone in its toddler stage. I'm with you on the iphone. I won't drink that punch. For some viewing enjoyment...- brandonnash

Does Sound Card need Burn-in?
Ok man. Keep up with your easter bunny defense. I can give reasons why I believe that it won't make any difference. You on the other hand have still yet to give a reason why you believe it does make a difference other than because someone said so. Why don't you pop your question in a form of an... -
Does Sound Card need Burn-in?
So you're going against your own statement of believing engineers? Did you read what I posted or click on the links? Ps Audio has been around for a good while. Not knowing exactly, but I'd venture a guess that they've been around longer than the guys you didn't actually quote. I took my quotes... -
Does Sound Card need Burn-in?
What you mean is they have hands on opinions. And they do claim they hear a difference in sound. I don't doubt that they think they hear a difference. Subtle changes as small as 1 dB can change a lot. So if one is listening to a piece of brand new equipment and then 50 hours later... -
Does Sound Card need Burn-in?
Quote: In yours and many others cases proof leading to everyone believing in burn in for electronics illudes us. I don't think anyone has taken the time one way or another to test if there is a measureable AND substantial enough difference to say without pause or question that yes burn... -

Yeah that's a used one. I don't know what kind though. I'll probably just get a new one. I'd like to just go and get one at walmart or best buy but they run $50 at those places. I'll keep looking around.- brandonnash

Thanks for that reply. Looks like someone in that thread said the s2 has a yamaha instead of wolfson either codec or dac. Can't remember which. I'll have to look into that some more. I'll probably pick up the clip+ and see how it is.- brandonnash
