do WOMEN like HEAD-FI??
Quote: Any more sexist than my attempts to convince my husband that, say, that $500 camera lens will ABSOLUTELY be worth it, because of all the amazing pics of the kids I can get? Or that I should TOTALLY start making cards, because we will save SO much money by not buying Hallmark ones...- Sanveann

QQ/Complain thread. Complain about anything!!!
Quote: If I had a nickel for every guy who told me, "Letting you go was the biggest mistake I ever made" ... well, I'd have about 15 cents. (Funny how they always feel compelled to tell me this after learning that I'm married with kids. It's like they're thinking, "Well, there's no chance...- Sanveann

You should check out a chiro. I thought they were all quacks till I was 8 1/2 months pregnant and pulled a muscle in my back ... frickin' KILLED me. I knew regular docs wouldn't do anything but tell me to rest, and I couldn't even try pain meds. Finally gave in and went to a chiro and felt SO...- Sanveann

WHO ARE THE BEST LOOKING PEOPLE ON EARTH?
Quote: Yeah, but they don't age well! Interestingly, I'd say Scottish men were the most attractive (as a whole) that I've seen ... though the women there really were quite plain for the most part.- Sanveann

Who's your least favorite musical artist?
Quote: One of my proudest days as a parent was watching my 2-year-old dance to the Descendents :) (His love for Amy Winehouse's "Rehab" was a little more disturbing, though.) -
QQ/Complain thread. Complain about anything!!!
Quote: My parents took down our handrail like two years ago because it allegedly needed painting (according to them!). Need to get it back. There is a silver lining, though -- I can barely walk today, so my husband took the day off work to watch the kids. I'm sitting around with...- Sanveann

American kids, dumber than dirt; is it really this bad?
I'm considering homeschooling our kids, if I can get my husband on board. The schools here are considered good, but my experiences so far with my 4yo (who has some minor special needs) have not been positive at ALL. They only agreed to evaluate him after I wrote the superintendent, the principal...- Sanveann

My gripe: Today I fell going down the stairs (missed a step and fell about 2-3 stairs). TOTALLY freaked my husband out (he practically vaulted down the steps when he heard me scream!), but I'm sure Baby is OK -- I caught myself. In the process, though I scratched up one hand, torqued one foot...- Sanveann

Who's your least favorite musical artist?
Quote: Aw, that's because you were never a high-school girl. I <3 Taylor (yes, even at my ripe old age of 34!). Justin Bieber is way up there on my list of most-hated, as well. God, even when I was 12 I would have thought he was a little wuss. -
do WOMEN like HEAD-FI??
Quote: That's because your relationships weren't long enough ;) I used to HATE HATE HATE that my husband played D&D each and every Sunday. (And, no, not because it makes him a giant geek!) Now that we've been together over nine years and married 7 1/2, I'm like, "Go! Have a good time...- Sanveann

Re: Classical for Beginners
Quote: Yes, I would agree that the composer should be the starting point, too. I was adding the part about performers in as a sop to those who insist that the performer makes a GINORMOUS difference. :) Quote: Bigshot, I think you are really losing...
