So my SM3's broke and were out of warranty. Total came out to over a hundred dollars after shipping. Am definitely going to be looking at Westone or another company when looking for my next earphone purchase. Sucks, cause I've heard great things about SM64's.

Listening to Slint's Spiderland for the first time with my Modi and Lyr on the 650's is something else. Washer is unbelievable.

My  PCC88 7DJ8's and Modi got here today. All I can really say is WOW. I am wondering if a Bifrost would even improve this set up. It already sounds damn near perfect to me.

Hah, funny thin is I bought one and no avail. I then hooked up a regular 3.5 Mm cord and nothing. Going to mess around with my pc tomorrow.

So right now that I don't have a DAC, I am not really sure how to connect my Lyr to the computer. I tried hooking them up to the back RCA plugs on the PC, but nothing. Anyone know? Used my E9 and e7 before this.

Can't afford a Bifrost right now, and was considering te Modi. Do you guys think this is a good idea? Maybe buy the Bifrost a year or so from now. Edit: I should state that this is to pair with my Lyr and Hd 650's.

After having my 660's with the 07/09 combo for a week, I think it's best to stop after I pick up the Schiit combo. I feel perfectly happy even with this set up, so why chase anything else.

Okay, I had a $50 Amazon gift card, so I took the plunge on the e9. I think this is a good way for me to save the cash for a serious set up fofr my HD650's. And once I am done with it, I can let my brother have it. He isn't a serious audio listenter, but likes good audio quality.

All of your opinions will go into my my selection. Thanks, guys.     Straight from the e7, these don't sound very good(sadly, and obviously). My SM3 v2's sound much better. Let's hope to change that soon!

So is a e9 and e7 a good combo to hold out until further notice then? I would just hate to get the e9 and then hold off on getting an upgrade, cause I tend to settle on stuff(headphones, and a bunch of other stuff) and sometimes never go back to upgrade it, or fix it, cause it works "well enough".
