  My own Neco SoundLabs v2 amp next to the v3 version of the same amp (bought it for a friend, his money ofcourse ^_^ ). By now I have received the v2 front and back panel with markings because I have one of the early 2008 v2 amps Neco made without any markings on it.

I contacted Neco about the imbalance in my v2 once and he said it was (like someone above here said) due to the construction of the pots. I was invited to send it over to him so he could fix it for me. Without cost I think. Which again shows the superb customer care. But I didn't want to part...

Thanks for posting that picture of the ridges, Youngngray! I think I've been hit by fakes as well but that's not that big of a deal since the sound is up on par with other headsets I can buy over here in the Netherlands for the price I paid for them. Gonna check my ridges when I get home...

Okay, the deal was real. I have listened to all my reference albums today and my conclusion is that these ATH-M50's I bought are either fabulous fakes or just the real thing. And they are the real thing. They sound great. Best deal I've had in years.

Just go and buy new ones. They're dirt cheap. The Kramer mod did give my KSC's a significant boost in especially the highs. More crispy sounds it gives this mod
