Do I need to turn on E7 when docked so that it overrides the DAC of my music player?   Also, if I connect E9 with E7 docked to my computer, the volume will be really really small. I have to turn the knob to the max. Is this because it's conflicting with Xonar DX?   Thanks a lot.

I'm thinking of upgrading my AD700. Budget is probably $300 max. I was looking at HD650, AKG701 and DT880.   I'm also trying to buy a cheap entry level DAC/Amp combo and heard really good reviews about the E7+E9.   I can only buy either the DAC/Amp or one headphone. What do you guys...

Note: I'm not really good at audio, so I'm basically a newb :p   So my friend got each of these and find their sound nearly identical except that the 80 ohm has more bass kick, but the 250 ohm has a warmer sound. What does impedance actually do? Lower the volume output?   Thanks...
