Don't know why everyone says earsonics has bad after sales service. I wrote them an email to change my housings from black to crystal whilst they repair my velvets and they replied saying it is possible within 10mins. Perhaps I was just lucky. And to the guy saying velvets are thrash...perhaps...

DX50 currently has issues with the DAC. Something about the drivers. A total no go with Mac if you use one. Otherwise the player with latest software sounds really good. The fiio X3 and X5 are notable DAPs that you should look into also.

Sigh that's really disappointing...was really looking forward to it. I assume this is the same for the DX90 too? Megaexplosion 1.1 sounding extremely good though!! Kudos to all parties involved.

Hi, can you comment on the sound improvements the LME49710 op amp? I'm thinking of doing an upgrade as a diy modder is able to help me do this. Along with the op amp swap what else do you recommend to change? I'll be using the He with my earsonics sm64

Idk about the roxannes, but my dx50 definitely powers my SM64 and heir 4ai just fine. Much better than an iPhone 5. As your roxannes are quite high end and very resolving, a DX90 would be good. Much more affordable than an ak120 and definitely sounds as good.

  Can you charge it traditionally through an AC outlet?  If it's just your laptop...try doing a factory reset. you can either do that from the menu in your player or pressing the unlock and the volume up button together for about 10mins when it is turned off. it will then reboot to recovery...

any aftermarket cables that improve on the SM64? I'm looking for something to make them sound even more full. Using DX50 as source.

Hi, i accidentally formatted my dx50 into mac os extended, thinking it was my thumb drive. Now, when i insert it into the computer, my mac doesn't recognise it thus i can't format it back to fat32. Help?
