Have you considered holding onto your current CD player and setting up an analog system? You should be able to pick up a good table on the used market (along with cart and phono stage) and still have money left for a few albums... Just a thought.- nebuchadnezzar

CD only or CD/High Rez?
Look for a used Sony 9000es on audiogon. It's (2 channel) SACD DVD-V and redbook playback, IMHFO, kick ass. Can be found for about $700 on Audiogon. Quote: Do you have a multichannel capable receiver? Otherwise going SACD/DVD-A is a moot point! The benefits to SACD are far...- nebuchadnezzar

I agree, all movies should be released in Widescreen. However, I have a friend who still can't understand why "they put those stupid black bars on the top and bottom of the screen" I think when/if Star Wars is released it will probably be on multiple discs. It was a pretty cool...- nebuchadnezzar
