Fostex T60RP
Yes do it!! Do we know the extent of mods available for the T60RP at modhouse? Have you inquired about it yet? A fully "Argonized" T60RP would be so killer.- JohnnyAppleseed

Fostex T60RP
Yeah, I put the mad dog pads on them. Comfort greatly improved, but the sound was about the same. To be fair, I find the MDP's to have somewhat harsh treble as well, but if I had to pick one, the MDP's were better for the same price. The wood cups were gorgeous though. The creaking was so bad...- JohnnyAppleseed

Fostex T60RP
I ended up returning mine. Creaky cups. Not very comfortable. Sound was thin and bass shy. Highs too sharp and grating. I compared them to my Mad Dog Pros and I found the MDP's to be better in every way. I have the Argon v3's next on my list to try to dethrone my MDPs.- JohnnyAppleseed

Westone users - how to keep silicone earpieces from sliding off?
I had this problem with my Pro30s. I ended up just using Spinfits instead. They seal just as good and provide the same amount of comfort. They have never slid off in over a year of use. I also use them on my se215s when working out or traveling. Fishing tips out of your ear canal is NOT fun and... -
Koss Portapro Thread
For the most possible space, KSC75 clips would be your best bet. I've only experimented with various foam pads though, so YMMV.- JohnnyAppleseed

Koss Portapro Thread
I've used the KSC35, KSC75, and Yuin clips. The 35s are the most secure (and bassy), but least comfortable (sharp edges, hard plastic). The Yuin is more comfortable (softer plasic) and a little looser fitting but still plenty secure (for me). The 75s have the softest, most pliable clips. They...- JohnnyAppleseed

Earsonics SM64: The Impressions Thread
I demand a comparison between your pro30's and the sm64's if you ever decide to acquire a pair. I have pro30's and i've always side-eyed the sm64's out of sheer curiosity. I'm guessing they are more similar than different, but maybe the slight difference would be worth it. Anyway, keep us...- JohnnyAppleseed

SpinFit Eartips Thread - The cheapest audio upgrade
I can relate to this. I also have pro30's and while i loved the fit and comfort of the star tips, i didn't like the loose seal and how easy the tips would slip off the nozzle and get stuck in my ear (!). I tried shure tips but they were too stiff, inflexible, and ultimately irritating to my...- JohnnyAppleseed

Koss KSC75's. Dont Forget This Giant Killer in all the ''Hidden Gem'' Hype.
What does that fact have to do with the sportapro's and portapro's (and KSC35's for that matter) sharing the same driver? Or is that just an FYI? I would guess that something so cheaply made probably doesn't have the tightest manufacturing tolerances to keep costs down. If your KSC75's all...- JohnnyAppleseed

They are the same. The differences you hear might just be due to a slight manufacturing variation or the pads.- JohnnyAppleseed

The PANASONIC RP-HTF600-S headphones. More fun than the HD650?
Not significantly. Maybe a tad more air and soundstage and a little less bass. These are positive changes IMO. Regardless, the increased comfort is worth it to me whether the changes are perceived as beneficial or not.- JohnnyAppleseed

Koss Portapro Thread
It is known. And yet this confusion is constantly discussed. SMH.... And while we are at it, all the headbands, clips, etc. are all compatible with each other along with the PE headband (and similar UK version) and Yuin G1A clips from head-direct.- JohnnyAppleseed

Portapros or Senn PX-100
In case you are unaware, the PP drivers will also fit on the PE headband if you want to save some money and just test out the fit. The drivers pop on and off the same on the PP, ksc75, ksc35, sportapro, yuin g1a/g2a, etc. Just FYI. EDIT: My favorite combination is a toss-up between...- JohnnyAppleseed

Sony MDR-V6 (and family) Impressions Thread
To me they are a sidegrade. However, the sony's cost less than half than the Beyer's, fold up, don't need an amp, and sound completely different than the dt250's. I would consider the sony's a much better value. I really like the DT250's and the 7506/V6's complement each other near perfectly.- JohnnyAppleseed

Sony MDR-V6 (and family) Impressions Thread
I have had both but not at the same time (7506 and 80-ohm, resp.) 7506: More sub- and mid-bass. Colder low-mids. Brighter, clearer high-mids. More treble. Sound like closed Grados with bass. Overall best for speed, clarity, and upper mids (female voices). DT250-80: More upper bass...- JohnnyAppleseed
