The Official Fiio E9 Thread with Video Unbox-Review
Great, enjoy your HD650. If you got them brand new, allow some time to break in and they will sound even better. If what you really chase is neutral sound, HD600 probably fit you better, more balanced, that is what I heard. Quote:- minorityzune

The Official Fiio E9 Thread with Video Unbox-Review
I am listening to a pair of HD650 on E7/E9 and what I could say is simply amazing! The clean and neutral sound signature of E7/E9 works nicely with the slightly warm HD650. I believe what I hear is what HD650 is meant to present, bass is so deep and well controlled, tremble is bright but...- minorityzune

I totally understand you, no offense. I love what I have too, although they are far from perfect. I like anything that could add extras to my rigs at least cost. Quote:- minorityzune

FiiO E9 Review
I have been listening to various kinds of musics through my HD555/E7/E9 for more than 8 hours today, and I don't feel fatigue at all. Actually the more I listened, the more I liked this little cute yet powerful set. What I want to say is, while I do appreciate the simple and clean ergonic...- minorityzune

That is very intersting! My laptop shows that current source is USB DAC(E7 in this case) as long as E7 sits in he dock, whether it on or off. While E7 is off, no sound coming out. So I guess this might depend on how the computer handel the priority of its sound system. Quote:- minorityzune

Nope, at least not on my laptop, E7 has too be powered on to work as a DAC so that I could use headphone connected to E9. That actually makes sense, doesn't it? If E7 is off, there is no working sound card at all, hence no sound. Quote:- minorityzune

Got my E7/E9 combo today. And I love them. My HD555 sounds so much better than from Asus Xonar U1(of course). Deeper bass, wider while realistic sound stage and definitely more details. The sound signature of records doesn't change to my ear, so like others said, E9 is a neutral amp which I...- minorityzune

Sennheiser HD 555 'treble-heavy'?
Quote: I am replying this anyway. I can tell it is not my brain got burn-in but the headphone. And the reason is, beside HD555, I also listen to other headphone/IEMs which provided sufficient reference to compare. For example, compared to a well burn-in SR80, the bass from my HD555 keeps...- minorityzune

"new" with Re0
I actually found the large bi-flanges are comfortable and noise-isolation efficient. You are not suppose to insert the full tip in. Just put the smaller tip in and the larger one will only works as a blocker.- minorityzune

Sennheiser HD 555 'treble-heavy'?
Quote: Sure, a good AMP is always helpful. Talking about fantastic bass, I will look for such a thing in a HD600/HD650 rather than HD555. One thing keeps me wondering is what kind of bass that HD600/HD650 offers.- minorityzune

Sennheiser HD555: Will Burn-In Be Enough?
Burning-in does help with bass quantity as well as quality. Since your music gendre is rock and pop, why not try SR80.- minorityzune

Sennheiser HD 555 'treble-heavy'?
To get bass out of HD555, you need at least 200-300 hours burn in, according to my experience. Mine changed so much and so suddenly at around 300 hours. IMO, HD555 is not bass-light, it is just not over-bassed. It is balanced. The quantity of bass is well controlled and the quality is very...- minorityzune

Getting the HD-555 headphones again, amplifier suggestions?
According my experience, the difference between HD555 and AD700 is more from sound signiture than sound quality. Choose a style fit you better.- minorityzune
