Great, enjoy your HD650. If you got them brand new, allow some time to break in and they will sound even better. If what you really chase is neutral sound, HD600 probably fit you better, more balanced, that is what I heard.   Quote:

That is very intersting! My laptop shows that current source is USB DAC(E7 in this case) as long as E7 sits in he dock, whether it on or off. While E7 is off, no sound coming out. So I guess this might depend on how the computer handel the priority of its sound system.   Quote:

I actually found the large bi-flanges are comfortable and noise-isolation efficient. You are not suppose to insert the full tip in. Just put the smaller tip in and the larger one will only works as a blocker.

Burning-in does help with bass quantity as well as quality. Since your music gendre is rock and pop, why not try SR80.

To get bass out of HD555, you need at least 200-300 hours burn in, according to my experience. Mine changed so much and so suddenly at around 300 hours. IMO, HD555 is not bass-light, it is just not over-bassed. It is balanced. The quantity of bass is well controlled and the quality is very...

According my experience, the difference between HD555 and AD700 is more from sound signiture than sound quality. Choose a style fit you better.
