Help: JH16 imbalance
That's a disappointing experience. I guess I'm lined up for the same thing. In a dilemma now on whether to follow through with the reshell. I realized you sold yours so what's your take on this Spyro? Sell the drivers or follow through and see how audible this imbalance is to my ears? I thought...- VaSpn

Help: JH16 imbalance
Hmmm. In that case I'll probably go ahead with the reshell. So, you find this an issue too with the JH13s? 6 db seems to be an audible change according to this website: http://www.gcaudio.com/resources/howtos/loudness.html Then again, I don't really have a feel in terms of...- VaSpn

Help: JH16 imbalance
I recently purchased a pair JH16 from the forum and sent them to Unique Melody to have them reshelled. UM had the drivers measured and it appears to have a 6 db difference between the left and right midrange drivers. I was wondering if this level of imbalance is common in the JH16's since I've...- VaSpn

Pioneer SE-700 and SE-500 on eBay
Not sure if anyone posted a heads up but I found 2 vintage pioneers for sale on eBay: the SE-700 and SE-500. Both piezoelectric headphones. Considerably rare. Would pick these up myself but they're pretty pricey. Could be worthwhile for collectors. I have no monetary interest in the...- VaSpn

Calyx Coffee
Wondering if anyone's heard the Calyx Coffee yet? Just got released in Oz at Wicked Digital. Looks a fair bit like the Calyx Kong. Hoping someone might have heard it. The new Calyx Coffee is a 24bit/96kHz USB DAC that offers both line level RCA output for direct connection to your...- VaSpn

Lead Audio's LA-100 seems to fit the bill. Few impressions here but it's got great reviews if you do a quick google search.- VaSpn

Sonab H10
Thanks MDR30 a lot for all the info. Makes me want one even more (prolly post a thread to see if anyone here besides you have a pair they're willing to give up). That's true. The K1000 to an extent is omni-directional (even though headphones in general are not omni-directional). Just a...- VaSpn

Haha. Does seem that way. Child of the beats and tma. Except that it's older than both??!!! Wanted a pair pretty bad just because it was designed by the Eames. The fact that it was a Sonab was a plus given that Sonab was a well known hifi player back then. Hopefully, another pair appears...- VaSpn
