TC Electronic Level Pilot STATIC
Haha, holy crap, so I finally remembered my login information. I was thinking about this again because I have been using my system after a long hiatus and was searching for answers...and of course my own thread comes up. Anyway, I was thinking of the exact same thing because I use... -
Calling All "Vintage" Speaker Owners
So, I just inherited a pair of KLH Model 6's from my parents and I'd really like to refurbish them and start using them. It seems like they have been neglected, but not damaged. Front covers are dirty, and the body of each speaker has some minor damage. What should I be looking at and looking...- ccbass

Headphone Sightings 2
Was walking through a mall a couple days ago and somebody was wearing a pair of T1's. I didn't want to creep, but the amp was definitely a RSA amp of some sort linked to a 5G iPod.- ccbass

Moon Audio Reviews
Purchased a pair of DT880 600's from Drew recabled with Black Dragon and using the adapter. Very nice work! Drew was responsive, though my impatience to buy headphones may or may not have angered him! HAH! Sorry Drew! My only complaint is that there was a small cut in the cable where...- ccbass

Flashlight-Fi (LED & Conventional)
I've been following this for awhile and it looks damn interesting. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/527051507/hexbright-an-open-source-light For $60 you get a 500 lumen flashlight that's programmable and uses a USB recharged 18650 battery. Estimated time is 60 minutes at the full...- ccbass

HRT Music Streamer II/II+/II+ mk2?
I will be abroad in Australia for the next 5 months and I'd like to take some high quality music with me! Unfortunately bringing a whole desktop system is out of the question! I'm currently using a MBP via optical to a DACMagic via XLR>3.5mmTRS to a RSA Protector to my DT880s. ...- ccbass

Reliability (or lack thereof) of iPod technology
I received a 30gb iPod 5g for my birthday years ago. It survived for 4 years after being dropped a good 100 times, dropped into puddle, and being abused. I dropped with from 5 feet onto concrete and it only dented it. Though after 4 years of abuse, the HD died (from being dropped too many...- ccbass

Removing Rockbox from Clip+
If you're having with missing capacity like I did, do a complete wipe of the disk. On OSX I just used disk utility to delete everything. I believe you can just right click on windows and format it. Edit// That wipe will also wipe roxbox and will only leave the Sansa firmware.- ccbass

TC Electronic Level Pilot STATIC
I've been the using the TC Level Pilot for quite some time now and it worked flawlessly up until recently. In the past month or so it creates static when I'm changing volume in either direction. It never used to do this. Is the POT degrading already? It's a Bourns POT, which...- ccbass

Quote: HAHA. I did the same thing for a while, but I used a a piece of wood cut on an angle. In reality, just use anything you can find, even just a few sheets of folded paper. Then I upgraded to mopads and sold my AV40's for BX5as!- ccbass

Cambridge DACMagic, anyone? (THREAD II)
On another note, what's the wiring for XLR to RCA cables? I heard that the wiring is different for the DACMagic. You're supposed to leave the - (NEG) pin floating instead of attaching it to ground? It seems my question was answered.... "The OP275 can be bypassed simply by...- ccbass

The Beyerdynamic DT880 Discussion thread
Got my DT880 today from Drew @Moon Audio! Gave them a first listen with an iPod to RSA Protector to DT880 (with Black Dragon cable) and the sound is....interesting. First of all, let me say that the RSA Protector is not burned in at all, only 4 or so hours on it, and the headphones...- ccbass

Protection for the RSA Protector!
I recently received my RSA Protector (Thanks RAY!), but I can not figure out how to protect it well without a lot of bulk. The supplied rubber feet are being used as a buffer between the iPod and Protector. I thought about just putting my rig down with the iPod down, but that's just...- ccbass
