This happened to me too but the small screw nut needs a hextool and you just turn it a few times and its all great again. The rest of the unit to me seems like an impeccably built amplifier.

Just noticed this but both the CMA 800R and the DA8 don't match the manufacturer's size specifications. The CMA 800R is supposedly 330*300*55 mm but in actuality its 330*198*55 mm which is pretty much nearly 102 mm shorter in terms of depth of the amplifier (even if you included knob length and...

After much deliberation, decided to go with the Yulong DA8 as the DAC for my setup, so far I have to use the DAC from my WA7 and I don't think its very good as when I used a 3.5mm to RCA on the AK240s, the AK240s sounded much more clearer and had better detail retrieval and a tighter harder...

  I'll find a nice DAC first and than i'll hold off as any further purchases will kill my college budget. 

Well, I ended up buying a used one from a fellow Head-fi member. So I guess i'll be getting the CMA800R after all  (and now the hunt for a matching DAC begins!).

  Precisely the reason I am returning mines. It's unfortunate really. The advertisement for the AK240 is "Be the ultimate" and yet I have a feeling just a few months down the line the AK240 MK II is gonna come out so we can all "Be the ultimate, again!". 

  I have sent an email to Alden Zhao, its been about a week plus with no response. I've found a seller on aliexpress but his site is fairly new and it seems like he is not a verified distributor.    Btw, thanks for the responses you guys have been very helpful.

I'm thinking about returning mines, the difference in sound quality between the AK240 and my WA7 seems a bit too little for me to be paying such a huge price difference for (also when a HD800 is plugged in, volume can become an issue as I have to turn the volume to about 60/75 and for softer...

Anyone one know a good reputable online dealer that sells the Taurus MK II in the US? I did a few searches and found only some site called HiFi Heaven had them.
