Audeze LCD-3 Impressions Thread
Update regarding my driver failure: I received back my LCD-3 from Audeze last week with new drivers and everything is working again! Can't praise the Audeze customer support enough! A month without my beloved LCD-3s, but it is good to have them back in working condition. Thank you, Audeze!- spidipidi

Audeze LCD-3 Impressions Thread
Indeed but I must say Audeze's customer support is excellent! But living outside of the U.S. makes it a hassle with shipping and the time it takes to get them fixed. But since the retailer where I bought it takes forever just answering an e-mail I rather deal directly with Audeze with these type...- spidipidi

Audeze LCD-3 Impressions Thread
Thanks for chiming in LemSkee. Yeah it's really a bummer and I am also worried about the uncertainty regarding drivers failing in the future. It's a shame if the lifespan is only approx. a year. But I read something regarding the failing of drivers and only having X amount of times to send them...- spidipidi

Audeze LCD-3 Impressions Thread
Sad news guys. Almost a year to the date has gone since I wrote here about my failing left driver. Audeze fixed them and I got my LCD-3 back (with fazors). But today I got home from work with a new Hegel HD25 DAC to test and wouldn't you believe it, the right drivers had failed, and no sound...- spidipidi

Calling All "Vintage" Integrated/Receiver Owners
For style mostly Hard Rock, Metal and Progressive Rock, but now and then I can listen to 80s pop music and classical music. I only listen to vinyl, FLAC and some 24bit albums. I guess budget wise 500-600 dollars to spend on the receiver. And since I am located in Norway with very poor...- spidipidi

Calling All "Vintage" Integrated/Receiver Owners
Thanks for replying. Browsed through the LCD-3 search link and indeed it has been mentioned, but maybe i was looking for more feedback. I browsed on and on in this thread and I have basically narrowed it down to these receivers: Marantz 2270/2275/2285 Pioneer SX-1010/1050/1080/1250/1280 and...- spidipidi

Calling All "Vintage" Integrated/Receiver Owners
Been a lurker in this thread for some time now and I am really wanting to try out some vintage receivers. I have the LCD-3 and I am wondering which vintage receiver would match the best? Marantz and Pioneer are often mentioned in this thread, but with the LCD-3 not so much. Advice is much...- spidipidi

Burson Conductor - DAC/amp successor to the HA-160D
Cool, thanks for chiming in! I have the LCD-3F and I like them very much with the Conductor, but in the last couple of months I have felt a kind of harshness on some recordings. Typically newer albums. Maybe a symptom of loudness but also some highs as you said could ease out with the PCM1793.- spidipidi

I have a Conductor bought in May of 2013. Just wondering which of you in here has the PCM1793 dac? I am considering changing the dac chip as I am curious on the analog sound people say it represent. Also gonna order the usb module.- spidipidi

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Series 2
Yes I did, I tried all the tips. But it wasn't the tips that were the problem, it was the housing itself. When it lay rest to the scapha (direct from wiki) the tiny pressure made my ear hurt rather quickly.- spidipidi

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Series 2
Last week I ordered and received the Shure SE535. The "not for everyone" was sadly true. I have been reading about them for some time and had high expectations but there was great discomfort when I wore them. My ears was starting to ache pretty fast. The sound was fine but I have read burn-in is...- spidipidi

Same here dude. Very happy with the new fazors after the repair. I noticed that the glue or whatever is holding the pads to the wood is starting to get worn and a gap is starting to appear. Anybody experienced this? Whats the best approach to making it stick again?- spidipidi

Burson Conductor - DAC/amp successor to the HA-160D
Have anyone tried their Conductor with an Airport Express? I connected my newly purchased AE using optical with hopes to do some streaming since i need to extend my wifi anyway. The result: skipping and jitter! Totally unlistenable. I then connected the AE and the Conductor with RCA cables. No...- spidipidi

I think the left driver on my LCD-3 i starting to fail. When I twist the left cup around while listening the sound drops a bit or it lose the definition of the music. Also when I push on the grill the sound is dropping out. But it "falls back in to place" when I stop. Nothing like this happens...- spidipidi
