Received my package last Friday, VSD2S and AN16. For the asking price I think this buy is a no brainer, especially the free AN16, and actually for now I'm enjoying AN16 more than VSD2S. :)

How about comfort? Coming from AKG K240S, K272HD, Denon D2000, Audio Technica W1000 and T50RP, I can say that Beyer T1 comfort is top notch, at least for me. Is there any other option to buy the Stax besides pricejapan.com? Thanks again.

I did also use the srh840 earpads and by the guidance of mrspeaker, while I never tried the sa5k earpads, I can say I'm loving my configuration so far. :)

Totally agree with you nickchen.. After all, you and apatn are like the "master" of this mod, so I think all the dimensions for the distancer on the first page is for a reason, and it's best if we could just follow the "master" themselves.. :)    Quote:

I think if I get ms1i,I'll try to vent it first rather than straightaway opted for alumod, and if the bass is good enough, the extra money should go to the wooden housing (if I can find one); I think wooden housing is sexier.. :)
