Bit Perfect Audio from Linux
Ok, I think you can get it slightly cheaper from Asia. Honestly don't know about 32/384. My spdif input is limited to 24/96, so I am not able to test it properly.- Anda

I you like the sound you can get a Gustard U12. Are you located in the UK (based on your Cambridge and B&W gear)? It's available here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GUSTARD-U12-Native-32bit-384kHz-XMOS-DAC-0-1ppm-U10-upgrade-Black-Silver-/261596415436- Anda

The XMOS chip does not require drivers in Linux. Can you get sound through the IEC958 in the device list?- Anda

I know... Can you tell me if SVB202D is the name of the firmware or the hardware? I was wondering if a new firmware would help?- Anda

Audio-gd USB-32 Firmware, Drivers, and Feedback Thread
Has anyone tried the USB-32 with the new Raspberry Pi 2? I'm using a SA-1.32 recognized as SVB-202D in Linux. I have a Lenovo T500 and Raspberry Pi 2, both running up-to-date Arch Linux. The SA-1.32 works fine on my Lenovo, but I'm having some issues with the Pi 2. Below are some results from...- Anda

Bit Perfect Audio from Linux
I think the buffer settings in Deadbeef are a bit strange. I use Mopidy and the default GStreamer backend settings are 200ms for buffer and 10ms for period. This means that the buffer and period are sample rate dependent. For a 16/44.1 file the buffer size is 8820 (44100*200/1000) and...- Anda

The Soekris R-2R DAC: Technical Details
Very interesting! Just want to point out that it is not 'resistor to resistor', but a description of how the ladder is designed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resistor_ladder- Anda

HifiMAN HE-6 Planar Magnetic Headphone
If Tony's HE-6 is the only one with 6 screws, then the 6-screw ring from Hifiman obviously won't fit a normal HE-6. I think the piece of foam is a lousy attempt on doing what the fuzzor mod does.- Anda

Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone
You can't really compare Sennheiser and Hifiman in that regard. Sennheiser's retailer network is far more comprehensive. Without researching I can think of a handful places in my city, where I would be able to get the HD 800. We only have one Hifiman dealer in the whole country and he is...- Anda

GUSTARD H10 High-current Discrete Class A output Stage Headphone Amplifier
Typical sign of underpowering. Upper mids and highs gets sort of a 'screamy' effect. My experiences are the same on both Project Polaris, Lake People G100 and some lower wattage vintage amplifiers.- Anda
