Dream Theater sounds absolutely superb with the BHSE on balanced connections!I finally upgraded the pico DAC to a borrowed Wyred4Sound Dac. Still hunting for a DAC though. No money for USD$20K DACs here

@crumpler The BHSE is sitting on the other end of the room, it serves as my computer rig.   @sachu yes as treal512 says, it is TAOC.    In any case, I've upgraded my power conditioning to the Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo and my digital source to the Aurender S10. These are visible on the right...

can anyone identify what's changed in my set up? I'll give a hint... it's source and conditioning!  

Take it from me....waiting for my BHSE was nerve-wrecking considering that I had paid in full very early on, and yes that is 6k+usd paid up front.   But really apart from the lack in communication for me, he always responds eventually and will deliver in one way or other.  So don't worry...

The alps rk50 is darn well the best volume pot i've ever used. Dead silent, no sort of channel imbalance what so ever and really is seamless when you reach out to control the volume. A definite recommendation to add to the order. OT:As for DACs sounding alike, i just think it's just the same...

I've tried 4 dacs with the BHSE, namely,   M2Tech Young DAC with Teddy Pardo PSU RWA Isabellina W4S DAC 2 Wavelength Brick USB DAC V 3   Spent a week with each DAC....   I liked the W4S DAC 2 the most, which I ran in fully balanced mode...I really enjoyed how the bass was...

i'm having this exact same issue too! The tip of the left ear keeps scratching against the inner surface of the earspeaker, which makes me very aware and unable to relax   Anyone can solve this?

Hi guys, thanks! Hopefully those waiting for their order will get it soon.The amp is truly as good as they say! The spikes are indeed supplied by justin and are stock. I did have a little trouble attaching one spike to the psu... But it all went well in the end.

Close to 15 months later...look what the hamster brought in!     Justin did a massively superb job in packing the BHSE and the package is absolutely huge! Thumbs up!           A very temporary setup....

Fantastic that you are familiar with ayon gear as well:) you're definitely not being biased as I've paired them with a few other speakers and they sing just as beautifully as well. Not to mention, their customer service is amazing as well!

@Mayzei thanks for the compliment!   @DjAmTrax thanks too! Ayon is from Austria and strictly makes all tube gear....this is the Triton ii amp with Shuguang Black Treasures Grade A KT 88 tubes. I moved from a Class D amp to this.... Never looked back.   Nice Mcintosh gear btw!
