HTC Bolt?
Has anyone tried this phone out? Apparently it only has usb-c output like the iphone 7, but the included earbuds are supposed to use an adaptive feature that uses sonar to measure your ear canal and then adjust the frequency response.- stuckonsound

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
I've been searching this thread and found a couple comparisons to the Marantz HD-DAC1 as a DAC, but I'm curious if anyone has compared them as an all in one solution via the headphone output. I'm currently using the HD-DAC1 with HD700 and HE-500.- stuckonsound

NEWS: Meridian Releases The Explorer Pocket-Sized USB DAC
Not to poo poo on this product, but it seems like whenever something new comes along its automatically the best thing ever. How does the headphone amp compare to a Dacport? The Meridian Explorer puts out 130 mw @ 16 ohms. The Dacport puts out a much more potent 1.5 W @ ??ohms. Also...- stuckonsound

JPS Labs Abyss
Yuck, at first I was excited because I thought these were being made by JDS Labs, not JPS Labs, and I figured they might be a $500 planar not a $5000.- stuckonsound

KOSS ESP-950 Thread
Given that you are looking for a music server down the road, it might be worth checking out PS Audio's Perfectwave Dac Mkii. It's both a high end dac and a server. It runs for about $4000 though. I haven't personally heard it, but it seems like something that might be worth checking out given...- stuckonsound

Flex the headband until you get the desired clamping force. Then twist the band so the pads align with the angle of your ears. I find them pretty comfortable once adjusted and broken in.- stuckonsound

D7 Sidewinder....Initial impressions
Quote: On the macbooks it gives a message when you first turn on the D7, but it doesn't interfere with the units performance. Actually I've used my D7 on one port, while charging and using my iphone as a mobile hotspot on the other. No problems. I think it creates a temporary current surge...- stuckonsound

New Hifiman Headphone HE-400 is out
For those who have heard both, do you think someone (aka me) who used to have and liked the HE-5LE would be content with the HE-400? I'm jonesing for a planar, having sold my HE-5LE and LCD-2. My financial situation does not currently allow me to buy another $2k system. But I could probably...- stuckonsound

How to make my Ultrasone PRO 750's sound better with my computer?
Quote: The sound quality of that youtube clip is poor. I don't know if its just lossy or from the mix. Check out this clip and listen to the drums (select HD when playing it).. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciLDnsHkqdk&list=UU4a5d57ZAWl999-YXw0C1Vg&index=9&feature=plcp- stuckonsound

KOSS ESP-950 Thread
Yes I've had a good number of Ultrasones and also the K701. If the bass is better than the K701 I would be pretty happy. I don't expect monster bass from a stat. On a side note it looks like the prices have been pushed up toward msrp. I used to see these in the $600 range on Amazon.- stuckonsound

V-MODA Crossfade M-80 Reviews
Thanks to UPS next day I'm trying out these headphones right now. I find them lite weight and comfortable. Quite small looking, but the ear cups actually cover all of my ears which makes for a good seal. I'm very impressed with the sound quality. Good midrange clarity and very nice bass. I was...- stuckonsound

Edit: I intended to reply to Greenrolaids. I rarely ever use IEM's, but I've never had an audiophile grade IEM either. KOSS ESP-950 Thread
Hi all! I'm trying to gather some opinions on how the ESP950 fairs against some of the newer orthos. I used to have a HE-5LE and a LCD-2, but sold both as I spent my first winter in Alaska with me and my family living in a small cabin where open headphones didn't fair well. And I needed money...- stuckonsound

I finally jumped on board with these. I was thinking of of getting the M-100 once it's out, but I already have 2 pairs of circumaural headphones and no true portables. I actually went with the V-80, not because I like the show (never saw it), but rather Amazon had a used one in "very good...- stuckonsound
