I literally got Euclid with the BT accessory two weeks ago. Now I find out that the bt device is discontinued and my unit is not working. I got these b/c of the bluetooth. These were meant to replace my Apple EarPods or Shure TW2. Ugh Ugh Ugh. Did send an email to Support. Waiting to hear back...- Student_Driver

Shure TW2 Meets Audeze Euclid
How does the TW adapter compare to the Audeze BT-1020 adapter? Anyone try another brand that worked well (e.g. fiio. etc)- Student_Driver

dCS Bartok
I heard and bought mine at Lyric on Lexington Ave between 82/83. Highly recommend that you go in there to hear it. I am working with Scott who I’ve known for a decade. Still working on cables etc. They have very high resolution gear for the audition. Great electronics and well set up rooms...- Student_Driver

dCS Bartok
First listen straight out of the box with zero break-in -> It’s the biggest single upgrade I’ve ever made. Only played through the speakers thus far. Tomorrow will break out the cans. Nucleus +/Bluesound Vault (as NAS)/DCS Bartok/ARC Ref 6/CJ MF200/Wilson WP 5.1- Student_Driver

dCS Bartok
Am waiting for a Bartok due in late Jan. How do other owners have their Bartok set up. Servers, NAS, Ethernet, audiophile switches off USB etc. Have been told Ethernet (with an unshielded Ethernet cable to the router) is the best setup. Any advise welcome.- Student_Driver

Shure KSE1500 Review - Shure KSE1500 Sound Isolating Electrostatic Earphones
I had given these to my son for Christmas a few years back. He broke it and did not keep the tip. Photo attached. Parenthetically, my J&H Laylas shown also have a problem with the connection. My next job is to email them. Have been that way since I bought them years ago but had been working...- Student_Driver

Shure KSE1500 Review - Shure KSE1500 Sound Isolating Electrostatic Earphones
Hi Head-Fi Community Been awol for several years. Sadly, I broke the part of the plastic shell which hold the foam tip off of one KSE earpiece. Sure is quoting me $1,000.00 to replace the cable. That sounds crazy to me. Did a search on this thread on repairs and only found posts related to...- Student_Driver

Sennheiser IE800 IEM's
Mine have failed at the juncture of the iem to 2.5mm plug cable fitting. First one ear went out (w/no warning or intermittent signal period of deteriorating sound). A few days later the second went out as well. I've tested the 3.5 to 2.5mm Sennheiser supplied cable and it's ok. So it's...- Student_Driver

$299- Pre-Authorization to repair IE-800s
I have a box filled with old IEMs which have given up the ghost. In most cases, one of the ear buds has died and the other is ok or there is an intermittent noise and connection problem with one or both ear buds. In this box are Sure, Etymotic, Monster (Miles Davis, Copper etc) and others. Most...- Student_Driver

The Astell & Kern AK120
Basically I am happy with the M8 as an amp but got frustrated with my HiFi Man 602 and iPhone as sources. Each with their own idiosyncratic limitations. Apart from the SQ and format limits of the iPhone, there is also the hassle when a call comes in. AK120 was intended to be a full solution...- Student_Driver

The Astell & Kern AK120
It went smoothly. Got the new AK120. Works! Only, i am an idiot. I bought it, mindlessly thinking that I could use it with my HiFi-M8 to drive my HD800s and LCD-2s. Realize now that AK has only analogue out and M8 has only digital in. My Fostex will not drove the big cans, and the AK is ok on...- Student_Driver

Yes. I did try several wall warts and an iMac and MBP (osx 10.92). Am waiting in line now at B&H. Thinking of getting the Titan if they do a clean exchange.- Student_Driver

The Astell & Kern AK120
Burtomr Thank for confirming that the screen lights up when plugged in. That's never occurred so the AK USB cable is bad or the unit is bad. When you mention that other USB cables are wired different, is the DC current always on the same plug/pin locations? If not, am guessing I should not try...- Student_Driver

The Astell & Kern AK120
It most likely is dead. Bummer. I had read that some users had found that there are quirks about charging and powering on with the USB plugged/unplugged. Thot there might be a trick or switch combo I had not tried.- Student_Driver

The Astell & Kern AK120
Have brand new AK120 and can't seem to get any charge into it. Remains dark with no indication on screen or anywhere that the charge is taking. When I unplug the AK120 and hit/hold the power button nothing happens. Had it plugged in overnight. Is this unit defective? What can I try? Sorry 384...- Student_Driver

Astell & Kern AK120 impression thread
I bought an AK120 yesterday at B&H. Brought it home. Plugged in the micro USB to a wall wart and charged overnight. No light came on during charging and the screen remained dark. Unplugging from the USB charger, I can not start the unit. Is there anything I can try? Am soooo frustrated. It's...- Student_Driver

Reshelling Sennheiser IE800's
I'm not sure which tips you mean. but if they simply fit around the barrel flange as do the Senn and Comply tips then I'll be in the same boat. Only I'll be loosing more expensive tips, The ones I'm thinking of surround the OEM shell and can be slipped off. IMHO, this should prevent them falling...- Student_Driver
