You can power them easily with an amp like a Vidar or a used MCA20 for under $500.- Jozurr

If a situation like that was to happen, a customer can simply buy the interface from your website, which is a better option, than to mandate customers to pay for a box in advance that they are not going to use and is going to sit idle, until they decide they don't want to use the weldenheim or...- Jozurr

The pass labs amps like the X150.5/8 or X250.5/8 are excellent amps and have some the magic most people look for when they want a tube sound. The J2 is closest to the tubes that I've come from a SS amplifier, but the J2 doesn't have enough power for the SR1a. The X250.5 I have is an excellent...- Jozurr

XA30.5 and INT-25 might not have enough power for the SR1a if you listen to high volume. I had the J2 with 25w class A wattage and it wasn't enough.- Jozurr

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
So for my amp, I'm thinking of going from the Pass Labs X250.5 to the XA100.5 monoblocks. Couple of changes between the amps are that the X250.5 has higher volts: 64 volts on the X250.5 vs 41 on the XA100.5, and the XA100.5 has higher current: 28 amps on the XA100.5 vs 20 amps on the X250.5. So...- Jozurr

Has anyone replaced the cables from the box to the amplifier? They're too short, and Im trying to go the monoblock route, so thinking of getting longer cables. Does that impact the sound in any way?- Jozurr

Amps that can drive the HiFiMan HE-6 planar headphones
Really not sure how you found the J2 warm and the Ragnarok cleaner - the J2 is not very warm amp and it sounds extremely clean and is more resolving than the ragnarok.- Jozurr

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
@Aleksandar R. This amp obviously needs 100 watts into 8 ohms to shine - however, nowhere near the power to go "loud" enough - so essentially it seems the wattage is needed for the phones to have the dynamic swing and not feel stifled. Now the question is, do you think these would benefit by...- Jozurr

Received my SR1a. First impressions are extremely favourable. I assumed people overstated the power requirements or how much they scaled up. I used them first with the First Watt J2 (30 watts in 8 ohms). They powered up with a very familiar and extremely pleasing sound that I'm used to on the...- Jozurr

Power wise I believe it has enough power for the SR1a and since the SR1a was developed using the AHB2, its surprising that other amps sounds so much better to you than the AHB2. Im assuming you have the appropriate preamp pairing, as well as sensitivy and gain settings on the AHB2? quite a bit...- Jozurr

Yes the question of whether a pair of AHB2s improve performance (or degrade it due to higher dampening) is still to be answered by someone who has compared a pair to a single AHB2. Also, how much of a step up/down is a 150.8 for example, compared to an AHB2? Perhaps @llamaluv can help with that...- Jozurr

Would you be willing to compare the sound of 1 AHB2 vs the Pair of AHB2? Im wondering if a pair actually improves performance considering a pair worsens the dampening and a single AHB2 supposedly sounds cleaner unless you're at the point of clipping it.- Jozurr

Just got an Anthem STR integrated - 200 wpc in 8 ohms. Talk about power - drives my HE-6 very very well. Now just waiting to receive the SR1a! Might end up picking another amp or two to try with the SR1a in the similar range.- Jozurr
