After 5 years my Sony Walkman A17 suddenly stopped working without any warnings. Even when I connect it to a computer nothing shows up on screen. I'm just wondering if its possible to get it fixed. Does Sony still support this player ? I much prefer the old A series Walkman's to new touch...

Would anyone who has heard both players like to comment....

I would like to hear from people who have listened to both players. Is it worth upgrading to SR15 if you already own the AK70 MK2 ? From what I can see the main advantage the SR15 has over the AK70 MK2 is native DSD support.

It's not good for the battery to be heating up!

What hifi claim the difference between Ak70 mk2 and the SR15 is like the difference between blu ray and dvd. I find that a bit hard to believe, If there is a real difference I'd say its more like the difference between standard blu ray and 4k blu ray...

I use iem's high gain does not seem to have harmed them at all.

I just noticed a major difference in sound quality on the zx300 when I turned on "high gain". I have the player months but I never noticed that feature. They should have the zx300 set to high gain straight out of the box.

Burn in is real even on cheap sandisk players you notice it.

When I manually turn it off the player and leave it for a while the battery goes down to zero. As I said this doesn't happen with my other Sony DAPs.

Has anyone here who has a ZX300 noticed the battery drain if they leave the player sitting idol ? If I don't use my ZX300 for a few weeks the battery goes down zero. The same thing doesn't happen with my A17 Sony Walkman. I'm just wondering if there is a problem with my ZX300 or if this...

How does it compare with the AK70 mk2 for sound quality ?

The weird look of the SR15 is a deal breaker for me. I would not want to spend that amount of money on a DAP in which I hate the look of it.

I'm new to the party. I'm looking at buying an AK70. But I don't know whether to buy the mk1 or the mk2 version. I can get the AK70 mk1 for 400 pounds but the mk2 costs 600 pounds. Is it really worth the extra money ? Or does the mk1 sound almost as good as the mk2 ?

I own the original AK100 but I have never noticed it getting warm. But I don't use the player very much.

If the Ak70 II over heats than that must reduce the life span of the battery ?

Having a volume limit on it would be a deal breaker for me.
