Thanks, only thing I missed was the Roon ready part so if anyone has a Roon server and wants a very easy speaker integration they work a treat :relaxed:- Apina

Tried cleaning the optical lense with no joy. I took a look at the cable tip and it seems maybe a manufacturing defect on it since some plastic seems to cover some of the optical fibres. Hopefully I can get a replacement cable sent through.- Apina

Yep I think it's the cable I took the stock DAVE cable and it works. Was told the audioquest toslink should work with 24/192 so think I may have a duff cable :( not good for such an expensive cable!- Apina

Hi All, Does anyone know what the max bitrate out from the optical output is on the ak380? I have a 24bit 192Khz file that registers as no data when being played on the optical input of the Chord DAVE. Cheers- Apina

In the past I use to also have the RWAK240 standard version and I preferred the sound that the mod brought with it. If you did not like the mod on the 240SS then maybe you should try to listen to the RWAK380 before getting the 380 cu modded. One thing I noticed was with the latest upgrade...- Apina

There is definitely a difference with the RW mod on the AK380 the sound is definitely more natural sounding then the original AK380 with the highs clearer and the bass sounding much cleaner. From my recollection there have been several people that have commented more or less the same on this...- Apina
