i've read around and it seems as if im not the only person who has experienced something similar to this. i think it would be wise to get an external sound card before the jack gets any worse...recommendations?

its kind of a nuisance though since i have to find the "sweetspot" in order to have both cans working, and if i hit the wire on accident it will mess it all up. this laptop is only 2-3 months old...i hope it isn't the plug itself. do you think there is any way this is software based?
