    Rio Carbon Pearl sound quality?

Since the Carbon was introduced no major new mini-HD player was introduced, soundquality-wize (personal!) it still outperformes the H10, Micro and Mini. It lacks features, but if SQ is your major consern: it holds out fine!

512 mb flash player, which one?

Quote: Interesting results! Would you happen to have a photo of both players for a size comparison? Description in words would be fine too. Thanks The Iriver still has this triangular shape that makes it look more fat than it actually is. Size of both players is acceptable in...

512 mb flash player, which one?

I tested a G3 next to a iFP 799 and I can say without hesitation that the Iaudio G3 is a much better player than the Iriver. The build-quality is much better, at least it doesn't crack when you squeeze it a little like all Iriver players Second is the battery-life that doesn't drop as...

    Which 5gb for Me...

I guess that the Carbon is the right choice for you. The H10 might be the most complete player at this point, but since you don't care that much about Radio, Recording and a Colour Screen I think the batterylife, the design and the price are for the Carbon. I can confirm it sounds great together...

    SRS or BBE?

I own both a Iaudio4 and a Iriver 799, also have I heard several SRS-equiped players from Ibead and Mobiblu, but I find that BBE is far more realistic than SRS. SRS with trubass is pumping the bass to extreme and unrealistic levels, at the same time I found some distortion in this method. You...

Sound Quality : is Zen Micro a winner among mini players ?

Too bad this is another: "Take Micro, Mini, Carbon?" -topic But my opinion is that the Micro indeed is a winner SQ-wize, but I also think that the out-put is too little to drive headphones that are only slightly bigger than normal earphones. Stock earbuds and the small Sennheisers ones are...

How do you set the Rio Carbon on 'hold'

Oddball is using the more difficult way It indeed works just like a cellphone, hold menu button, then press center. Easy as that... Good thing is you can make the lock function work for different buttons, so if you want to leave the scroll-wheel (volume +/-) unlocked, that is possible!
