They seem like excellent cables but I don’t really want a braided cable for a workhorse headphone like this. I’ll be using them a bit for work purposes too (ENG camera operator) so a ‘normal’ type of cable is better for my use.

I've been listening to Infected Mushroom on my 58x the last few days, and it sounds incredible. The bass is so punchy and well controlled, and everything else sounds so very nicely balanced, all in the right amounts.

Talking Heads - Speaking In Tongues Pulled this one out of the collection, looked absolutely ruined, stains and scratches all over. And had a fair bit of surface noise, but my freaking goodness it sounded incredible once the music came in! Amazing production, and a great classic album.

One of those projects I wished I'd never started....   Came out ok in the end, not as neat as I'd hoped though.

Just received my LX-5 today and love it! Now to wait until Melbourne's terrible weather eases a bit and I can go out and shoot some photos!

My current setup: Sony TA-1055 Integrated amp, JBL N24AW speakers. The speakers are technically outdoor speakers but sound pretty good with the Sony. Eventually I will replace the speakers with something a little higher end.  

Another recommendation for the 1200. I've installed a Denon DL-110 cart on it and I love it. Sounds amazing on good condition vinyl, and is near unbreakable. I love being able to throw a vinyl on, give it a brush, and hit start. No need to dick around like some of the more finicky belt drive...
