Going to buy a monster IEM ... any risk of damaging with a desktop amp with low and high gain settings. The M^3 sounds great with my HD 650, but curious if it does anything for IEMs or if this is just a bad idea! I do have a portable rsa amp that will work fine - but just curious.

Got the kids down and sat down to rest. Put some classic rock on the iPod, plugged in my amp, d2000's with j$ pads ... and am very impressed. Brings enjoyment back to old music - I hear things and detail in the music I never picked up before. Nice bonus is I think the phones are now broken in.
