You could get Forte now and by the time DN-2002 comes out next year sell the Fortes (which I highly doubt you will when you hear them) and buy the DN-2002.

Well written and I agree with what's written. But why do you say it's pricey when they have trimmed down the packaging (passed on the savings to us) and made it affordable than the 2.5.

I would like to add on to this by saying the bass doesn't overwhelm the mids and highs. When you hear it the sound is presented very evenly across the entire sound spectrum. I guess this is why it's called Harmony.

I tried it with the Fiio X5 and I didn't notice any difference with an iPhone. As for amping, I tried it with the Fiio E12 and felt that the soundstage was smaller and slight distortion was introduced.   When someone else tried Harmony they needed 80-90% volume on the iPhone (pretty shocked...

I have an iPhone 6 Plus and when I auditioned both of them together last month it was fine with kicker. Right now, I need about 50-60% volume to sound loud enough with Harmony which has higher sensitivity.

  That is indeed a vent, I think an ambient port to move air. As for sound leakage, all I could say is that barely any sound leaked through it at normal listening levels. There is sound leakage only if you put it at very loud volumes.
