HIBY R6 - DAP Dual DAC Balanced Out - Great Reviews and Over 500% Funded @ Indiegogo!

I tend to listen to a lot of live rock/jam band stuff and my listening preference is more in terms of getting the rhythm right rather than worrying about highs, mis,. lows, separation etc. (but separation would be second to me). My home rig is Naim separates to Sonus Faber with a Linn sub, if...

    Thebit OPUS#2 Dap - out September/October 2016.

Thanks Again...so would it be safe to assume that for straight listening the #2 is leaps and bounds better? Would the Andromeda's be a good pairing with the #2? I have my iPhone X for apps so I really just want this to be a portable audiophile listening device and a place to store live music I...

    Thebit OPUS#2 Dap - out September/October 2016.

Thanks...I really like the size and screen on the Hiby but it seems the Opus#2 has better sound. Is the Opus#2 that much better? Have you compared them?

    Thebit OPUS#2 Dap - out September/October 2016.

Can someone shed some light on the Opus#2 vs. Hiby R6? I'm jumping to a new DAP and I am torn between the two. Is an Opus#4 omg the horizon? Should I wait? Thanks.

    Help...AK70MKii v Sony NW-ZXZ, WM1A, ZX300 V ???? Please help

I used to be very active on here but you know how these forums go. I know this is a dead horse but I'm looking for a sub $1,200.00 DAP that is very pocketable but also gives me the best sound bang for the buck. My home system is naim (digital) or Rega (LP) > Naim > Sonus Faber/Linn...

    The HD800 divide

The 800s convey what is put into them. That being said you need quality or it will sound like crap. I was thinking of a pair but I'm going to wait until after I upgrade my creek to a naim headline...that is the weakest link in my hifi (which is fine since 95% of my listening is through speakers).

idea for the next NY meet...

I think it would be kind of cool to bring different pressings of an album...for instance I just received a Korean pressing (cd) of 461 ocean blvd. deluxe edition and I wonder how this compared to the US. I also have about 3 different vinyl pressings and they all sound different.

What was the component that started the slippery slope

of hifi. For me it was either the Sony TA-E2000ESD...(if the Sony ES line is HiFi...I bought it at Harvey)and I filled in with teh DC player...amps....etc....then I upgraded my speakers to my current Sonus Fabers and that was end game. It revealed that my beloved ES components weren't going to...

    A sincere question (not trolling)

No, you need silver dragon cables. Seriously though it sounds like you have a very nice system and the way I look at it anything better than mass produced consumer components is certainly high end...so I would say yes.
