IBasso DX50 vs Fiio X3 comparison thread

guys, i am trying to decide between the two, have an RE0 and AKG k601, which one do you think would be a better match? tend to think X3, since its more powerful (?). No amp will be used

Head-Direct RE0: durabilty issues? too much microphonics?

I have the re0 for almost a year now. No durability issues, though I take good care of them. I tried once to wear them over the ear but it looked stupid and I was concerned about the durability of the cord at that rather odd angle. The microphonics are pretty bad when I walk (worse than say...

Entry Headphone, Grado Sr80(i) vs Sennheiser HD555

i will add my 2c since i own the sr60i and hd555. as other people said: for movies and gamind, go hd555, they are better by a long shot. for classic rock and especially guitars sr60i rulezz. and for someone who intends to wear them for some time, hd555 also by a long shot. sr60i's are a bit...

    Computer Headphones first-timer

i would just like to add that i was recently in a similar position and i ended up with both the hd555 and grado sr60i. i would recommend you to buy the hd555, since they are GREAT with movies and games and you can wear them for hours at a time with no problems, glasses or no glasses. it is...

    Sennheiser HD555 appreciation thread.

they are really good for symphonic music and very good with everything else. i personally own the hd555, the grado sr60i and some IEMs but i am pretty sure that i would be happy just with the hd555. though the grado's are indeed better suited for rock, the hd555's are good with everything...

Denon AH-C252 earphones - hands on at c|net

c252 aren't that good sound wise. but then again, when you are on the subway, you probably don't care that much for the rollef of high's and want something cheap, that will sit comfortably in your ear and will isolate good enough. the c252 fits the bill perfectly for me

    Grado SR80i or Sennheiser HD555???

i faced a similar dillema as the writer of the topic did and i ended up buying the hd555. BUT i recently received the sr60i as a gift . so, impressions: the lack of soundstage of the sr60i's seemed absolutely horrendous at first, now i am starting to get used to it. Also the hd555 seems more...

    AKG K 450 vs. AKG k 518 dj

well i was able to compare akg k450, akg k414 and px200 at the same time. I would say that k450 beat the other two on every respect (isolation, comfort (ok the senns were probably more comfortable), soundstage and overall sound) but i am not sure that it is worth the extra money. it does give...

anyone heard of the AKG K450? are they good?

well I can vouch for them being way better than the k416p: better highs and sound overall, much more comfortable, better isolation and quite stylish. for portables they rule (though i haven't tried the px100).
