they are really good for symphonic music and very good with everything else. i personally own the hd555, the grado sr60i and some IEMs but i am pretty sure that i would be happy just with the hd555. though the grado's are indeed better suited for rock, the hd555's are good with everything...

c252 aren't that good sound wise. but then again, when you are on the subway, you probably don't care that much for the rollef of high's and want something cheap, that will sit comfortably in your ear and will isolate good enough. the c252 fits the bill perfectly for me

well i was able to compare akg k450, akg k414 and px200 at the same time. I would say that k450 beat the other two on every respect (isolation, comfort (ok the senns were probably more comfortable), soundstage and overall sound) but i am not sure that it is worth the extra money. it does give...

well I can vouch for them being way better than the k416p: better highs and sound overall, much more comfortable, better isolation and quite stylish. for portables they rule (though i haven't tried the px100).
