Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
Yeah.. people tend to be like that. They'll buy $200 pants, $1000 handbags or some other overly expensive stuff, but then be like, omg, how could you buy expensive headhones? I don't know, why don't you buy your clothes at the salvation army? :o- Zalithian

Sennheiser IE800 IEM's
Having owned the SE846 before, and now living in Thailand - found some legit IE800s at a reasonable price (to me). I think they're about $300-400 cheaper than the Shure SE846's here. Working overtime all summer, so I thought I would get myself some high end IEMS. It's been a while :). Even...- Zalithian

GRADO GR10: Reviews, First Impressions Thread
Yeah, they were closer to 15000 at the shop, but for that price I got some nice portable cans, two decent pairs of iems for me, and one pair for my gf... I'd love to go to Vietnam to buy them. Maybe someday.. haha.- Zalithian

Just tried out the Grado GR10. Loved the sound, but damn, about $500 in Thailand. Had to pass it up.- Zalithian

Shure SRH1540 Review
Yep, I live in Seoul. Been to some nice shops to demo stuff. Found out that I hate Ultrasone in general, love the SRH1540's and a few others - but the prices are insane. I miss Amazon. I mean even 500 isn't that bad. But 630,000 krw when I get paid in KRW is just ouch. The prices in Korea are...- Zalithian

Audeze EL-8: The EL-8 is a must-hear at CES 2015
Well, yes. That's part of it. I would agree that size and the ability to travel with something also constitutes 'portable'. Let's say there are some lightweight open headphones that are easy to drive. They leak so much noise that you can't use them anywhere outside. Portable? Maybe not.- Zalithian

Dunu TITAN Series (new for 2019: Titan 6) [Page 196]
I posted my review. I've been super busy so it's not exactly how I would have preferred but I wanted to get it out in circulation. http://www.head-fi.org/products/dunu-titan-1-titanium-coated-diaphragm-earphones/reviews/12466 Let me know if you have any questions or concerns :)- Zalithian

Review by 'Zalithian' on item 'Dunu TITAN 1 — titanium-coated diaphragm earphones'
I try to keep my reviews simple and understandable so I don't go into a large amount of detail with each part. There are others here that do an excellent job at very in depth and detailed reviews. I'll leave that to them. It's been a while since I have been involved in this hobby but...- Zalithian

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)
I wouldn't recommend that. Imo the SE846 is better at just about everything and their sound signatures are not that different. They're both warm, bassy, and have a focus on mids over treble.- Zalithian

Dunu TITAN Series (new for 2019: Titan 6) [Page 196]
Got mine yesterday. Initially wasn't too impressed when I was listening to metal. Put on some orchestral/OST type stuff and was very happy with what I heard. Initial impressions are great. I can see people who love clarity and a sense of space loving these. The bass is a bit lean to my ears so...- Zalithian

Why aren't my 18ohm Amperiors MUCH louder than my 70ohm HD 25s?

Westone UM3X Thread
UM30 is just the same imo. I think the minor/potential difference in sound can be attributed to the star tips. Not worth the upgrade unless your old UM3X died and you want the same thing in a new shell with different connectors.- Zalithian

Grado Bushmills X - Grado's first closed-back headphone?
I believe the consensus is they leak about 98% as much as other Grado models like the SR225i, etc.- Zalithian

Grado Bushmills X - Grado's first closed-back headphone?
Grado warranty is one year inside the US if you bought from an authorized dealer. If you bought from someone else they may give you warranty if you need it but it's a crapshoot.- Zalithian

Sennheiser Momentum owners how do you feel about the ear cup size?
If the momentum's aren't comfortable then I doubt anything from the Grado prestige series is gonna be any better. They fit on your ear unless you get G Cush pads or whatever, but that will typically make the lower end models (prestige) sound meh, supposedly. I own the 225i's right now and I'm...- Zalithian

Grado Bushmills X - Grado's first closed-back headphone?
Yeah Grados are quite moddable. I like the 225I but comfort is a big issue for me. At first I felt the bass was lacking but I think I got used to it. It's still lean but not bad. I've only heard the 60i and 225i. Will be interesting to compare. I'm sure I'll like the Bushmills, just maybe not...- Zalithian

Grado Bushmills X - Grado's first closed-back headphone?
I'm spoiled by Amazon. I don't even like to order from any other place. I know I'll get my package fast and on time. I ordered from headroom and now turntable. Never again. How hard is it to process an order in a timely manner and use shipping that isn't pathetically slow? If Amazon is ever slow...- Zalithian

Grado Bushmills X - Grado's first closed-back headphone?
Yeah I don't know what is taking them so long for shipping. Kind of ridiculous to take that long to process some orders if you already have the item. I feel like they should do free overnight shipping. Excited to compare to the 225i though.- Zalithian
